"Shut up or I'll kick you down from the window of this floor to the ground!" Niro gulped his own saliva because of the seriousness that came with K's voice along with his threatening glare, he had no choice but to gesture like he's zipping his mouth shut. Although, he did closed his mouth, Niro couldn't help but tease his brother still, upon wriggling his eyebrows along with a grin on his lips, protruding on the idea that something must be up with his brother and his secretary. K who's still blushing caught his brother's teasing gaze, he picked up his high-tech pen and threw it straight at his face but since Niro was used to this kinds of things, he dodged it easily, Aron who was standing silently by the side didn't expected it coming making him to be the one who was hit in the arms with the pen. K raised an eyebrow at his brother's friend then he nodded, a way for a man like him to apologize, then turned his attention back to his brother who came trespassing in his office without any notice. "What do you need, trouble maker?" K said, finally forgetting about what just happened, his attention is now focused on the documents he have to review while having conversation with Niro. Niro scowled upon hearing the nickname his brother have for him. "Next week is Riki's tenth birthday and mom said I have to take you with me to the tailor's shop to have our suits custom made." The university boy blurted out his intention, he's on an errand for his mother who's busy handling other things for the party. While reading a project proposal from Dwayneson Designs, K answered without taking his eyes away from the portfolio. "She could have messaged me about it, why bother sending you out?" Their mother is as fussy as one can be, K knew how hands on she is when it comes to parties especially if it's about the birthdays of the three children of Isles family, his mother is definitely another definition of a perfectionist. Niro who made himself comfortable, sitting on the couch's reclining answered, "That's what I also want to know but you know how mom is, K. Aside from that, she wanted me to rely to you that right at this instant, we need to get there and time's running out, she only gave me about an hour or so to convince you" he explained, suddenly getting chills upon remembering Kyza's words. He tried shooting puppy eyes at his brother but to no avail because the stoic boss wouldn't even bother throwing a glance on his way. "Just go now, I have a bunch of work piled up on my counter, can't you see?" K stated the obvious for his brother to see and make a testament to their mother who won't leave him alone without showing any proof if he fail to oblige with her order. Niro could already see where it will end up with, seeing how his brother won't even budge, Niro just thought of quite a brilliant idea. He scanned the people at the room and instantly, his gaze fell on Hyde who, just like his brother, buried on a pile of works as well. He pouted. While Hyde felt a cold air gushing around him, he slowly lifted his gaze to the brothers side, making him locked eyes with the younger Isles. His face contorted in confusion but gave a small smile as he got back to his work. Niro who was about to stand up and walk towards his brother's secretary was stopped on his track when K called his name, he turned around to look at his brother, his eyes were warning him, seemingly knowing what he had on mind upon approaching the secretary. The two brothers stared each other, both their gazes are challenging, the cold office because of the air-conditioning turned colder as tension started to build up and it only died down when K took his eyes away from his brother and turned it towards Hyde's direction. Sighing as he speak, like he was getting dragged out of his own will, K told Hyde who immediately shot up his gaze to look at and listen to him, "If there are urgent calls from anyone, ring me up, I will head out for a bit and come back once it's done" he said as he got up from his seat. Hyde who understood what he meant, immediately walked to K's side, picking up the coat of K that was hung on the built-in cabinet inside the office, handing and assisting his boss wear the coat to his body, Hyde closed their gap. The sudden proximity emited a bolt of spark to run through K's whole system, making him to jolt away distancing himself from his secretary who threw him an odd look, questioning his reaction. K glared at him. How dare Hyde act innocent while he's suffering alone. Was that spark all for him to feel? "Let's go, Niro." K uttered firmly and headed out ahead of the university boys. Niro smiled apologetically at Hyde who returned the gesture in a respectful manner, K's brother then tapped his friend on his shoulder and went on their way, leaving Hyde alone in the spacious room. Between his calm composure and dignified state, the secretary who received a glare from his boss without any known reason for, a flustered reaction is hidden deep within his demure ways. Hyde felt an unfamiliar force surging in his body when his own skin came in contact with his boss. Without any idea what's going on, he didn't drag it further on, brushed it aside and got back to the pile of works he had on his desk. __________ "Mom, I have far more important things to handle at my company, I have no time for thid. Any suit that would fit me will be fine, I don't need new ones tailored for me." K made it firm with his suggestion but his mother who's fixated on skimming through the pages of the portfolio that contains the designs for the suits, didn't even spare him a single glance. Niro on the other hand is enjoying himself trying on different men's clothing around the store, his friend following him behind like his tail. K's brows knotted in annoyance. "My proportions are already jotted down, I'll be going.." he informed his mother who immediately glanced at him, giving him a white eye upon hearing the word leaving. "No, young man. Sit still over there." "What else do you need me here for?" Time is running and for K, it should be spent at his work. "You see, although you're done on that part, there are some things I need your help with. I want you to go with me to the birthday planner's office, be good." Kyza motioned for her son to stay but K didn't heed his mother instead he stood up and prepared to be on his way. Meetings such as needing to have him go with her means something else, it's better to leave as early as possible to avoid it. By that, K means his mother setting him up for a blind date. On normal circumstances, they could get suits from the mall his father owns or make the tailor go on their home, paying a visit at their place. But now, it was already suspicious that he had to leave his desk and saunder his way to the shop, then another one is accompanying his mother to the birthday planner's office which is in no way related to him. He needed to escape before getting tied down into a room without any door, means he will have no choice but to get overpowered by Kyza. K looked at Kyza with a straight face. "I don't want to argue with you, mom. I'll be on my way, see you at home the next time." He said in a fast manner and gave his mother a kiss on her cheek before bolting away in a flash, his bold steps with the intention to get away and escape made a loud sound as it came in contact with the tiled floor. K managed to get away, while Kyza was astounded. "You..! You little piece of my own flesh!" Kyza was left, flustered and in disbelief. She swear K is her own son but his lack in interest when it comes to dating just won't make sense. Because when Kyza was younger and around K's age, she dated and fooled around too much whereas K, someone who's more than successful and stable, young and at his prime won't even look at any woman's way. *GASP "Could it be..?" Kyza thought of quite a ridiculous idea and then shook it away after. "No way." It can't be that her first son swings the other way, is he?
