They were all seated on the table that had a fine dining establishment that had high quality food made with the use of luxurious ingredients while being served in a unique and beautiful decoration.
Camilla stared at the wines on the table. Those wines could buy a mansion twice and there would still be some money left. It was a screaming eagle Cabernet Sauvignon wine and a jeroboam of chateau mouton- Rothschild wine.
She was being poured a little which tasted really good and refreshing. Her aunt was basically consumed with her discussion with Vicente.
To be honest, Camilla was curious to see Scar because he was definitely the star of everything but he was nowhere to be found.
Isn’t he supposed to be here before she arrives? What if he wasn’t as interested as she was? The thought of that made her blush, that would definitely be a win- win situation for her.
“Are you okay?” The soothing voice of Nathan came as she gave him a small nod. She grabbed the wine cup before giving it a gentle shake before sipping a little.
His hair was neatly kept and he naturally had a baby face which was perfected with a chiselled jaw, his eyes were attractive and he seemed so jovial.
“I know that you must be thinking about Oscar but he is a good guy. He isn’t here because he must be trying hard to please you!” He uttered and she knew he wanted her to feel comfortable.
She gave him a little smile to let him know that she sincerely understood.
“I was honestly just thinking of my Best Friend Mandy, she might finish all the snacks we baked together before I get back!” She lied before giving a small smile to ease her nervousness.
“Oh,” he simply uttered with a small pout, his gaze not leaving hers.
“What if I make you feel less anxious in respect of my asshole brother?” He suggested as a slight chuckle escaped her red and tender lips.
“That is very corny but I liked that, are you in a relationship or taken?” Camilla questioned while pulling her legs from the heels, they were practically hurting her legs badly.
He gave her a small smile before licking his bottom pink lips.
“I haven’t found one that sparked my existence!” He responded as he sipped his wine.
“Common, you are such a nice guy and I know that every lady would want to be with you. Tell me the real reason,” Camilla said trying to ease her nervousness but a loud chuckle escaped his lips gaining everyone’s attention.
“I guess that one person hasn't been born yet. I think you and Oscar would make the perfect match, you both have a lot in common!” He said with a smile but she screeched in disappointment, she never expected him to kill their discussion just like that.
“You have nothing to be scared of because I would put my brother in his place if he hurt you because I like you a lot Camilla,” he said as a blush escaped her lips for the sixth time tonight.
“I think I’m tougher than you think, I can handle things on my own!” Camilla said, folding her hand together.
“I think I like that, we could team up against him then.” He said with a wink and that had made her chuckle.
Soon, dinner was over and she had decided to give herself a little fresh air. Her aunt was definitely not tired of her conversation with Vicente, they had smiled and laughed together like two happy villains who had succeeded in their evil intent.
Nathan seemed to have left to attend to something and he seemed like the only sane person who wasn’t too serious about everything.
Even if Camilla was far from home, she still had files and hefty emails that she needed to take care of and dispatch.
“I think asking for permission before lingering around people's houses makes you civilized.” The husky and unfamiliar voice spoke, gaining her attention.
She turned around and was too stunned to remark, she almost coughed hard when he took a few steps towards her. The hard smell of alcohol mixed with cigarettes hit the whole air, this young man was a definition of a Greek God.
He was a very tall man with a muscular body, he seemed to be fixing his button, basically showing some hair in his chest and that had made Camilla look away.
He wasn't too light in complexion as Nathan but he had everything at the right proportion. Those green eyes of his held so much that Camilla couldn't explain but she needed to hold every composure she had left.
“You must be so delighted to be my bride, twinkle toes.” his voice came and Camilla wondered why he did think she was excited.
” Twinkle's toes?” she repeated under her breath.
“Why are you calling me that?” She questioned with a huge scowl masked on her face.
“Because you seem like one who sneaks around people’s houses without consent,” he responded as he peeked at the moonlight, he leaned towards her and she took a few steps away.
It was only three minutes gone into our first meeting and this surprisingly attractive man had managed to enrage me with his rude words.
“It's so uncivilised for you to accept a stranger as your bride, don't you think?” Camilla fired back as a soft chuckle escaped his small lips.
“Enough trembling, I don't bite!” he said as I glared at my trembling hands before shutting my eyes and biting my bottom lips in embarrassment. Camilla knew that her hatred level for him was already building up so quickly.
“I wasn't trembling, I just don't like the name you have chosen to call me, the name is Camilla and not twinkle toes.” She responded while going over to an empty bench at the left to take a seat.
“Beauty,” he uttered as he sat beside me.
“Huh?” She said glaring at him while his gaze was still focused on the moonlight.
“The name Camilla means beauty, it's a pretty name twinkle toes!” he responded very close to Camilla’s ear and she was fuming already. What about him with that name?
“What with you and being on the edge, I hate slow snails!” he responded and camilla thinks she had already had enough of his rude remarks already.
“F…uck you and your remarks. Don't you expect me to seat and watch you spit nonsense, i’m no bitvh you think you can mess with just because of some arranged marriage, I won't take stupidity and foolery from you!” She made it clear while trying to breathe hard but that only made him smile widely.
“Just the way I like them!” he scoffed under his breath but she already caught on to that.
Camilla was caught off-guard when he twisted her head and tried to kiss her but she was quick to slap him hard on the face.
“Don’t you dare, desperate enough to sink your teeth!” She said as another chuckle escaped his lips.
“Camilla?” I heard the voice of my aunt, I think it was time to leave and the satisfied smile on her aunt face was quite visible.
“May I have a word with you before you leave?” he said and she stared at him with raised eyebrows.
She expected him to say something but he took confident steps toward her.
“Run while you can!” he said to her and she wondered what that had meant.
He said nothing more as she watched him walk away.
