I don't know where to actually begin. I feel nauseated. No. I'm not pregnant. Maybe... No! I'm not pregnant! Argh! I'm way too excited. And sad at the same time. My insides are having a push and pull. I'm missing someone terribly and I couldn't sleep so I stayed up all night watching the DVD copy of Coffee Prince. "OTOKE???!!!" I grabbed my hair trying to decide what to do with what. "BAEK!!!" "Yes, mother!" She barged into my room in the middle of my panic. "What tornado hit your room???!" My mother looks like she has seen horror. I followed her eyes as she walked where her sandals can land. "Shia!!!" My room has been hit by hurricane Katrina. Pardon the reference. But it's unrecognizable now. My once neat and tidy very spacious room full of teddy bears is in complete chaos. My bear posse is everywhere. Some of them have my medals on their lap and neck. Some of them have all kinds of clothes thrown on their big fluffy figures. Some of them have even underwear on their heads. "Sweet lord! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to." I said as I began to remove my underwear off the teddy bears. Let's hope P'Kayden doesn't see this. "Dang it, honey! How did this happen? It's a good thing you still have a day before your brother fetches you." My mom nagged along the helping she's giving me. I'm lucky enough I don't have dirty clothes here. I washed them all already. I'm just packing— "Mom! Don't touch that!!!" "Oops! Too late..." She found my stash. Damn it. I should have put it away first. "Mother...just give them to me...please?" I had to beg because she wouldn't let me take them. "What? The condoms? And lubricant?" She inspected the box of condoms that's never been opened. I bought it recently and planning to pack it with my stuff. "It's not like I don't know what they're for. Acting shy now, little Baekie." She took them out one by one, teasing my already burning face. I turned around to avoid my mother's teasing eyes. Ugh! She won't stop unless I just shut my mouth. And here comes her embarrassing tongue. 'Pretend she's not saying anything...Pretend she's not-- I looked back one more time to see if I could save my stuff from her. "Shia!!! Hey! JaBa! Nooo!!!" I was too late from stopping my baby from snatching the bottle from my mom. "Aish!!! He's gonna throw it away in the trash again, mom." My mom burst out laughing while JaBa ran off with my brand new lubricant bottle. "Now why does he do that?" She asked me after calming herself and rubbing her tummy. "Ugh! I don't know. He just hates the red color, I guess. That's why all my red teddy bears are in the closet, mom. He started chewing one of them." I continued tidying my room and packing my necessities. "But aren't dogs color blind?" My mother asked while she helps put all the bears on the bed and on the long couch. "Yes, mother. They just see the colors differently. Red is dark gray to them, I think." I finally got some of my clothes and packed them in my suitcase. Okay! One more to go. "Baek..." "Yes, mother..." "I'm gonna miss you..." When I turned to look at my mom, I saw her tears forming in her beautiful hazel eyes. "Mom?" She suddenly walked towards me and gave me a hug. A parent's protective embrace. "You grew up too fast... Even got yourself a boyfriend. Then he kind of stole you away..." One minute she was laughing. The next moment she's crying. Tsk. I hugged my mother back. I felt her tears fall on my shirt. "Mom...he didn't really steal— "I said kinda. Aish!" She playfully slapped my chest. "It's just that...I feel a little empty. You're both going to be far from home and..." "Awww...my mother is feeling the empty nest syndrome..." I was wiping my mother's tears when dad entered my room. "Honey! I found JaBa throwing another bottle of Ow-- "Hi, dad. Mom is just little depressed of me leaving." I pushed my mother gently towards her husband. "She's having the empty nest blues, I think." I winked at my mom when she looked back after dad cocooned her in his chest. "Oh, honey. We'll just make more kids, why don't we?" He got a slap on his chest when he said that. I gave my father a thumbs up as I continued packing. I almost lost my footing when my two year old Akita jumped on me. He only does this when his dad is around. "Ugh! Buddy! Stop licking! Don't tell me-- "Hello, guys!" "P'Ace!!!" I knew it! JaBa only pounces on me like this when P'Ace is around. I ran to my boyfriend and wrapped my arms on his neck as his hands rounded my waist. "I miss you, baby." he buried my face in his neck and kissed my temple repeatedly as he sniffed on me. "I miss you too, P'Ace." We heard coughing in the middle of our reunion. P'Ace was away for two months because of his mother. And he was gonna come back tomorrow to pick me up and we can both go to our university in Bella Terra. Bella Terra is a town where New Thailand International is located. More than two hours from home but an hour away from the first class beaches of the country. "Oh, hi mom. Dad..." P'Ace said awkwardly after almost forgetting who else were in the room. "You're already taking him away. Now you forgot about us, too." Dad pouted. "Don't worry, dad. You'll soon have another kid in the house. You'll be busy." I said making all three heads turn to me. "Ow, come on mother! Even I know the signs of pregnancy. You should see your Obgyn." Her eyes went wide open. And all of a sudden ran to my bathroom leaving me shrugging at my dad and P'Ace's gaping mouths. Dad woke up from his shock and was about to run after mom when she yelled. "DON'T FREAKING COME IN HERE!!!" Dad settled for standing in front of my bathroom door, anxiously waiting for is wife. "P'Ace, did you bring anything garlicky or onion flavored? I think that's why she's throwing up." I told him as I went back to hugging on his body. Damn! He's getting more muscled and hot! "Hm...I got snacks. Mom made me bring them. It's for you." He cupped my face and kissed me right in front of our father. JaBa barked twice. He's sitting next to P'Ace. We all chuckled and mom came out only to go back again. "Honey, you okay?" Dad said with worry in his voice. "NO!" "Ace, bring that stuff out, will you?" Dad said pointing at the bags P'Ace placed next to the doorway. I kissed my boyfriend one more time before we headed out. "Come on, JaBa. And no, you can't eat those. They're bad for dogs." Our little furball whined after I denied him of the goodies his dad brought for me. The three of us went to the kitchen. "Here you go, buddy." P'Ace gave JaBa a different snack. It's a dog treat. I shook my head watching him munch on it. I went through my own set of snacks that my lovely boyfriend brought from Korea. "Your mom went all out with this stuff. I didn't know she likes me." I felt P'Ace's hands on my waist as he stood behind me. "I did sacrifice two months for her and tour grandparents to believe my love for you. They surrendered." P'Ace's hands traveled underneath my t-shirt. I gasped at the sudden touch on my n*****s. "Yeah? For weeks I got worried that they wouldn't let you come back." Before the summer started which was the beginning of April, P'Ace's mother called him to fly to South Korea, scaring him with an incurable disease. Later he found out it was a lie and before he could fly back here, he was kept. My poor boyfriend had to go through hoops. Apparently, my maternal grandparents who live in Busan, learned about me and my stepbrother's relationship. And they conspired with P'Ace's mother to make him suffer and break up with me. What kind of mother does that? My poor baby... I held on to his neck from the back as he kissed my nape while he busied his hands on my belly and down to my pants.
