Waking Up In The Hospital

Gerald's POV:

I slowly began to wake up, nearly forgetting I was in the hospital, I slowly looked around for Jill, I spotted her passed out on the couch not far from me, I spotted her blood stained shoes and I began to remember what happened when she got home and I woke up to her voice, I was in so much pain, I pressed the button on my remote for the nurse, who popped in a moment later,

"Ah! Your awake Mr. Gillum, I'll go grab the doctor," she says before leaving.

She returns with the doctor, who begins to explain things to me quietly so we don't wake Jill up, he ends with,

"You're lucky you have Jill in your life, she was there through it all, the whole operation she even held your hand and talked to you, she seems to really care about you, she's a great friend to have."

"I know I am, she's pretty amazing." I say smiling as I look over at her.

"Alright I'll let you guys rest, just hit the button if you need someone, make sure to order something to eat so we can give you your pain meds," the doctor says.

Him and the nurse exit the room, I look at Jill, feeling an attraction to her, all I wanted was to kiss her and make her mine, but I couldn't just ask her like that, as I was lost in my thoughts the door opened and 3 EMTs I recognized from the house walked in, they spotted Jill asleep, and looked at me,

"How you feeling dude?" Kyle asks.

"I'm okay, thanks to Jill," I say smiling.

"She's amazing huh?" Garrett asks.

"She is, are you guys friends of hers?" I ask curious.

"Yes, were her best friends, we've known her since she was a baby, family friends," Devin says.

"Can you do me a favor?" I ask looking at them.

"Yes sure dude," Kyle says smiling.

"Can you push that couch closer to me, I'd feel better if she was slightly closer to me, can you guys keep a secret from her? It's not bad a swear," I say looking serious at them.

Kyle pushes her closer and carefully sits next to her, pulling a blanket over her, she doesn't move, all we hear is her light breathing, 

"Yeah dude we can," they all say at once quietly.

"I think I'm falling for her, we've only known each other a short period of time, but seeing her cry over me hurt like this has made really look at her as a person, she's not like any other girl I've met, she's not all over me, trying to get famous, she didn't even know I was G-Eazy until recently, and she's a big fan I know, I've seen her room, most of her pictures she's in either my lady killer jersey or a Eazy T-shirt." I say looking at them.

"She is your biggest fan, she can rap along perfectly to your music, you never saw her YouTube video at a party a few months ago? She showed up a 'fan' of yours claiming they were his biggest fan, she not only rapped her right off the stage she made the crowd boo her away! She's an incredible girl who's been through some s**t but came out on top, whatever you do don't break her heart, or we'll have some problems," Kyle says seriously.

"I won't hurt her, I just wanna make her happy," I say while looking over at her, she was still sleeping peacefully.

"Good, we just wanted to check on you guys, have a nice day dude, and don't wait forever to tell her how you feel or she'll find someone else," Kyle says.

They each lean down and kiss her forehead before shaking my hand goodbye, I think I could get used to them in my life, they seemed like chill guys, I grabbed my phone off the table next to my bed and unlocked it, I snapped a picture of her sleeping and put it as my lock screen before going onto YouTube, it didn't take me long to find her channel, I found the video and watched it, amazed by her performance, she killed my song and showed the wanna be up, the girl couldn't keep up with Jill, I saw Kyle pick Jill up and swing her around before kissing her cheek and congratulating her on her victory, she was in my lady killer jersey and ripped jeans with heels, her hair was curled and she just looked perfect. 

I locked my phone and set it down before reaching over to Jill and gently taking her hand, she woke up, looking at me, she smiled,

"Hey there, your awake," she says half awake.

"Yes I am," I smile at her and squeeze her hand, which she squeezes back.

"Are you hungry?" She asks, sitting up.

"Yes," I say.

She gets up, "I'll go get us something from the cafe."

I grab her hand before she walks away, I grab my wallet and hand her a $50, "Here Jill."

She looks at me, like she's going to protest, "Don't even try to protest, it's my treat you saved my life Jill."

She blushes a little and smiles, "Okay thanks G I'll be back shortly."

She tries placing a kiss on my cheek, but I move my head so our lips connect instead, she gasps softly, but smiles after.

"Not cool G, warn a lady and if you wanted a kiss you could have just asked, jerk," she laughs.

"Okay well, can I have a kiss?" I ask laughing.

I didn't expect her to lean down and kiss me, I returned the kiss placing a hand on her cheek, she smiled and pulled away. 

She left the room and returned with our food and my change which I refused to take back, "Keep it babe."

She looked at me shocked for a moment but then shoved it into her scrub top pocket, "Okay."

We ate, the doctor came back to check on me and give me meds, Jill fell back asleep resting her head on my arm, I could get used to her being close to me.
