That evening, Nanette and Valdi sit together on the back terrace of their house, which overlooks a small swimming pool. After spending the day with their little daughter, walking around the mall, it's time for Nanette and Valdi to have some quality time alone. They sit, embracing each other, and savoring a glass of wine. Nights like these are always filled with intimacy for them, a precious moment before the busy week begins with their respective jobs. Nanette, the lecturer, and Valdi, the head researcher. Nanette reminisces about the first time she met Valdi, during one of his guest lectures at her university. It was then that she fell in love at first sight, captivated by Valdi's intelligence. Nanette with full confident, approached Valdi to introduce herself and ask for his phone number. Valdi was so surprised by the direct request from such a beautiful woman that his laptop slipped from his hands, cracking its screen. Nanette smiles, remembering that moment. "Dear, do you remember when we first met?" Nanette asks, resting her head on Valdi's shoulder. "Of course, I do. I couldn't even let go of my laptop, even though the screen was all cracked. That was a high-end laptop, you know, Hon. I had to make the ultimate sacrifice when I met you," Valdi says, planting an affectionate kiss on his wife's forehead. "Do you regret that your laptop got shattered when I approached you? You were acting all shy, like a country boy who just stepped into the city. Can you believe it? All I did was introduce myself and ask for your phone number and it made you were so surprised that you dropped your laptop, and your jaw nearly hit the ground. Lucky for you, you're handsome, otherwise, I might have made a run for it," Nanette playfully teases her husband. "I have no regrets to having your love my dear. But seriously, I was very surprised when you confidently strutted up to the podium, introduced yourself, and asked for my phone number. Did you only ask me for my number, or were there other guys you charmed with your beautifull face?" Valdi questions. "Nope, not at all. You were the first man who gave me the courage to walk up and ask for a phone number. I was convinced that if I didn't take the initiative, I wouldn't get another chance to meet you," Nanette says, raising her head and sharing an intimate kiss with her husband. Valdi immediately returns an intimate kiss from his wife and caressed his wife's back fondly. Their kisses became more intimate, caressing each other and linking affection through their lips. They did not stop kissing and Interwines their tonque. Nanette breaks their kiss and gaze at her husband with passion. Valdi immediately lifts Nanette , briday style and carry her into their bedroom. He opens the sliding door with his foot, and his mouth didn't stop showering his beloved wife with affection. The woman he loves deeply, his first and last love in life. Valdi grabs Nanette's body and lead her into their bedroom . When their passion increasing, Valdi stops his fondling and reaches into the bed drawer to get a cond0m. Nanette looks at his husband in surprise. Then she whispers "Why ? Why did you stop?" She asks with low tones holding her desire. " I have to use protection first, we don't want to have a little brother for Viona yet, right?" Valdi said busy tearing open his condom before his passion subsides. "Don't you already wear it when we entered the room earlier? Do you need to double up?"Nanette asks with a smile. Valdi jumps in surprise. Could he really be this forgetful now? He even forgot that he had already put on his condom earlier and was about to put it on again. Valdi quickly throws the condom’s wrapper he had been struggling with earlier and embraces his wife. He resumes their affectionate kissing, uniting their bodies in an endless wave of love, much like a sailboat gently swaying on the sea of affection. Valdi cherishes this intimacy. Slow, tender, with touches all over their bodies. Nanette would caress Valdi's unblemished back, and Valdi would kiss Nanette's neck softly and tenderly. Their love deepens, and their affection reaches its peak when they kiss softly and tenderly like this, conveying their profound love for each other. Their gentle caresses came to an end when Valdi stifled a scream, and Nanette gazed at him with love in her eyes. This good man was her soulmate, and she would love him forever. Valdi holds Nanette's naked body tightly and closes his eyes. But his mind couldn't find peace. He was busy pondering why he had become so forgetful today. Two fatal mistakes he had made today: first, forgetting his ATM PIN, and second, forgetting that he had already put on protection when he was about to be intimate with Nanette, even thinking about putting it on again. What was happening to him? This was no longer something ordinary. It wasn't because he was stressed or tired from work. He even forgot when he was relax and about to reach the peak of pleasure. How could that happen? What was wrong with his brain? Unconsciously, Valdi let out another sigh. Nanette, who was resting on his chest, must have felt his breath and immediately spoke up. " Why, Dear ? Still want me to pleasure you? Let's go for another round," she says with a smile. "Not really, Hon . Am I that strong? I can’t do two rounds. " Valdi says, kissing his wife's forehead. "So why do you sigh then, like you're not satisfied? As your wife, I'm always ready to please my husband," Nanette says, winking at him. "I am satisfied, my wife. I'm always satisfied with you. I've never not been satisfied by this beautiful and sexy wife of mine." "Look at you, dear being all smooth with your words. You can say that now because you haven't met another woman. If you ever come across someone more beautiful and sexy than me, you'd likely not find me appealing anymore, especially if she's younger," Nanette says, playfully pouting. "I tell you, there is no other woman in my heart except for you. You are my first and last love. I dated you for the first time, and we got married right away. No other woman can capture my heart like you did. I was just too wrapped up in work back then to pursue other girls," Valdi reassures his wife. " Yeah, I know. You've said it many times that I'm the first and last woman for you. But don't say 'last,' my dear. You never know what will happen in life. If I happen to die first, I don't want you to be a widower for too long. You should remarry so that Viona has a loving mother, and you won't be lonely in your old age," Nanette says wisely, her eyes filled with love and concern for her husband. Valdi gazes deeply into his wife's eyes, his voice trembling with emotion as he responds, "Yes, but if I die first, You should marry another man, too? I don't want you to be a widow for too long either." "Women usually endure being widowed for decades because they can be both fathers and mothers to their children. But for men, especially busy men like you, there should be a woman by their side. Most importantly, there should be a woman who becomes Viona's mother. I don't want you to be a widower for too long if I happen to die first," Nanette says logically, expressing her heartfelt concern for Valdi and their daughter. "If that's the case, how about we make a promise? Whoever passes away first, we must be able to move on and find a replacement for our life partner and not grieve for too long. Because no matter what, someone who has passed away can't come back to life," Valdi suggests. “ Okay, I agree. But the person who becomes our life partner should be someone we genuinely love, not because of external pressure or an arranged situation. We should be willing to open our hearts and fall in love again as soon as we're sure. Deal?" Nanette asks. "Okay. Agreed. The key is that we must not grieve for too long and should be ready to open our hearts to fall in love again after our life partner passes away," Valdi says as he extends his hand to shake with his wife, a sign that they are preparing themselves in case one of them passes away. As scientists and lecturer , Valdi and Nanette have a broad perspective. They are not selfish and prioritize their partner's happiness in their future life if one of them departs from this world forever. " But if one of us dies at an old age, like when we're over 60, this agreement doesn't apply anymore, right? I can't imagine myself remarrying when I'm old and going through menopause. I just want to enjoy my life on my own, be a grandmother to Viona's children, and spend time with my grandchildren," Nanette says to her husband, who immediately opens his eyes again. "I feel the same way. Our agreement doesn't apply if one of us dies after Viona grows up and has her own family. This promise only applies if one of us dies young, when Viona still needs love and guidance from both her father and mother," Valdi says. Valdi and Nanette smile at each other as they drift off to sleep. They are very happy with the married life they have lived for five years. Nothing is hidden between them, they can express their opinions and desires so freely. Like the promise to move on if one of them passes away. For other couples, this might be a conversation they always avoid, but Valdi and Nanette can talk about it so casually because they truly love each other. Valdi looks at Nanette's peaceful face as she sleeps soundly in his embrace. Valdi tries to close his eyes and fall asleep too, but his mind remains restless and anxious. Today's incident of forgetfulness is not just due to fatigue or stress. Valdi had been very relaxed all day today, enjoying quality family time with Nanette and Viona. Valdi knows he needs to find answers to calm his mind. Tomorrow, Valdi plans to schedule an appointment with Lucas, his neurologist best friend since high school. He hopes that Lucas can provide him with the answers to ease his worried. Usually Valdi falls into a deep sleep after reaching satisfaction, but tonight is different. Valdi struggles to sleep and remains restless throughout the night. May nothing happen to me. God, please. I hope I'm okay. I can't leave Nanette, my wife, and Viona, my child. These are the two people I love the most. I can't bear to see them both cry and live alone. Please, God, protect me. Please turn my serious illness into something curable, and change my minor ailment into good health within me . Valdi prays repeatedly in his heart but will God hear Valdi's prayer?
