Saturday has returned, two weeks after their family photo was taken. Valdi's condition hasn't improved. His coordination is deteriorating, and his memory shows no signs of recovery. Valdo is the only person he recognizes now. Valdi’s mother Dyna, who comes every to assist in Valdi's care, is still unfamiliar to him, but the woman who gave birth to Valdi is as strong as Nanette. Dyna has come to accept this. Each morning, as Dyna arrives, she greets Valdi, who is sitting by the pool, with words like this:
"Good morning, my child.
I'm your momma , Coming here today to keep you company. How are you?" Dyna's face is always adorned with a smile as she gazes at Valdi, who continues to look at her with vacant eyes.
