“Don’t be ridiculous,” Matt replied as he ran a hand through his hair. He walked over and slumped down onto the couch beside Max. “It’s Helios. We’re his first friends, he wouldn’t do that.”
“He’s the only one who could have,” Oliver replied.
Max let out a little yawn and made himself more comfortable beside Oliver. He looked down and smiled at the younger boy. “Sleep on the bed, Max.”
“No,” he whispered. “Just once, please. Let me sleep here.”
