"How long?" Colin finally had the chance to ask Katie on the Monday morning after a long weekend of anticipation. He watched as she gulped before taking another mouthful of coffee.
"Since the gala- well it took me a while to get back to him. But that's where I met him."
"Why didn't you guys tell me?"
"Because I knew this was exactly the way you'd react Colin." Katie spoke in exasperation, growing tired of this conversation already.
"Because my two friends have been lying to me and seeing each other behind my back for months." He tried to make her understand but she was in no mood for his explanations.
