The first time I met Justin, I felt the mate bond snap into place. My wolf Diamond started cowering in the back of my mind. I flinched back in fear when he reached out to touch my hand. We were at the hospital and Olive was still unconscious. I was too scared to even talk to him. Alpha David distracted him and I finished what I was doing with Olive and escaped out the door. I made it to my room at the Home for Wolves without Families. It was a tiny room just big enough for my twin bed and my dresser.
I locked my door and changed into sweatpants and a tank top. I pulled out my old diaries from when I first came to this pack.
