The two girls I had sent out to get twigs came back swiftly. We each took a bunch and broke the twigs and laid them in a straight line. We walked quickly back to the X by the tree and found most of the females had already returned. By the end of the second hour, all but the two I had gathering logs had come back. Some were carrying large deer, others rabbits. A few found water bottles and jugs along the river's edge and filled them with fresh water from the streams. A few even found berries.
