As soon as we opened the door, Brittany's voice echoed, "Girls, give me two good laps. When you're done, you can sit in a straddle until everyone else finishes." Everyone groaned and reluctantly started to jog around the track. Brittany watched, making sure no one was skimping out. I quickly ran to her before she started running too. "Brittany?" I said, trying to get the nervous quiver out of my voice. Her perfectly straight blonde hair whipped around with her. Her face softened when she saw me. "Oh, you're finally back. Noted!" "Um, no," I tried again. "I hit my head.." "And we're glad you're back," she said, watching the other girls. "But, you really need to start your warmup. If you keep everyone waiting.. well.." she laughed to herself. "They might not be so happy to see you."
