I sent a text message to my Mom.   [Mom, I need to go to the mall. Can you pick me up after office hours? I want to buy some new release comics book. Please reply to me ASAP. Thank you. Love you, Mom.]   Okay, after sending a text message to my Mom, I felt sleepy. I couldn’t open my eyes. Well, it would be better to get a nap. Have a good sleep, buddy. Zzzzz…   *** I heard some footsteps approaching. I was still sleeping in my bed.   “Miii! Michelle! Wake up. Do you want to go to the mall, don’t you? Are you coming or not?” asked my Mom to me tenderly.   I tried so hard to open my eyes. My head still felt dizzy, and I needed a few minutes to get my consciousness.   I was yawning while answering my Mom.   “What time is it, Mom? I don’t need to go to school today. Today is a holiday, isn’t it?” asked her. I took a pillow to cover my face.   My mom frown.   “Are you daydreaming, honey? Who wants to ask you to go to school? You are the one who asks me to come home early to pick you up. Do you want to go to the mall or not? If you don’t wake up five minutes from now, I’m going to leave you at home!” said my Mom annoyed. She shut the door. I could hear her footsteps walked away downstairs.   I was still upset because Mom tried to wake me up. I tried to get up from the bed. What time was it anyway? Why of a sudden, My Mom tried to wake me up so early in the morning. I walked outside my bedroom to find Mom.   “Hey, girl. You walk like a zombie. Do you want to go out or not?” asked Mom, annoyed.   I could see my Mom sitting on the couch while drinking orange juice. Her blazer looked very lovely. She was stylish and fashionable.   I adored her beautiful look. She used to keep herself healthy and to look good. People would see her 15 years younger than her real age. Wasn’t that cool?   No wonder if my Dad fell in love with my Mom. My Dad was handsome and cool. He was still looked attractive, even though he was not young anymore. I couldn’t imagine how cool he was when he was a teenager.   My big brother, Ruben, was handsome, just like my Dad.   I’m different from my Mom. I don’t have that kind of beauty like my family. I don’t have the magic to make myself looked gorgeous. I was just an ordinary teenage girl. Mom asked me several times to do some makeover with my looks. But because I used to ignore her advice, finally she gave up on this matter.   I walked to see my Mom. My body was unsteady, and I walked like a drunken man. I got a terrible headache. It hurt.   “Mom, It’s a school holiday. Why do you wake me up for school?” asked me while sitting beside her and put my head on her shoulder.   Mom saw me in disbelief.   “I’m asking you to go to the Mall!! I don’t ask you to go to school. Now it is six o’clock in the afternoon, darling. It is not six o’clock in the morning. Whatever, if you don’t want to go, I will go by myself,” said my Mom.   “Eh, to the Mall? Wait, I get dressed now!!” said me in a rush to my bedroom so quickly.   Mom stared at me while sighing and shrug her shoulder.   In half an hour, I arrived at the Mall. Mom went to the supermarket to buy some food. We split up when we arrived at Mall. I went to my favorite bookstore, to the comic zone. The comic stockpiles were very attractive. It was tempting me to take all the new release comics and buy them home. I took a quick look at all the latest release comics.   Ah, there you were! Detective Conan, Inuyasha, Lady Victoria. Nice, there were three new comics. I took a new edition of anime and game magazine. That was cool! I needed to get the latest information about new release anime and impressive game that had to buy. Sometimes, I got tips for a game walkthrough in the magazine.   Okay, next stop! I needed to go to the game store to buy the CD Game Play Station 2.   I walked down through the mall corridor to the nearest game store. There were a lot of boys who wanted to buy the game or searching for a good game. As I said, it was rare to find a teenage girl like me inside the game store. Usually, girls loved to go to a cosmetics store or clothing store, which was the kind of store that I rarely visited.   “Hello, there. Please give me a new release CD Game list, please,” said the game storekeeper. The game storekeeper took a stockpile of new release CD Games and gave it to me.   I took a quick look at all the CDs, but nothing attracted my attention. It made me disappointed! I walked away from the game store. Near the game store, there was Ragnarok online game center. There were many online gamers that busy clicking their mouse, hunting rare items, upgrading their avatar’s level, or just chit chat with other players.   I turned my back to walk away from that game center. I couldn’t join them as a gamer. Mom didn’t allow me to play online games in the game center. She believed that I would forget anything once she allowed me to play an online game. Well, she had her point.   I was a typical gamer that would play until the game finished. I could forget about the time and anything else. On the other hand, if the playing cost for the online game were higher than playing at home with Play Station 2, Mom would get mad at me. If I didn’t get a high school score, she would take my Play Station 2 away. She only let me play during the school holiday and weekend, as long as it was not an exam period. Well, it was indeed not a good idea if I forced myself to play Ragnarok online game.   By the way, the Mall was almost closed. I needed to find my Mom. She might need my help to bring groceries. If I didn’t help her, she might yell at me non-stop until midnight. A lot of stores had closed. A few shop keeper were busy to close and lock the store.   What should I do tomorrow? I had plenty of time, and I had nothing to do. I didn’t have any money left for that moment, and I didn’t receive my pocket money for the next month.   Mom was so happy to see me approaching. She was waving her hand.   “Michelle, over here. Could you help me? I got a lot of stuff here!” said my Mom to me. I ran to my Mom quickly, helping her to bring all the stuff that enough to feed an elephant to her car in the parking lot.   “Hey, what will you do tomorrow, dear?” asked My Mom in the car. She was looking for a parking ticket and a car key.   I just shrugged my shoulder.   “Well, I don’t have any idea for now,” said my Mom. I couldn’t wait to read the comic that I bought already.   “Tomorrow, I will give you your next month's pocket money,” said Mom to me.   “Hooray! Thanks a lot, Mom!!” I said it happily. I hugged and kissed her cheek.   “Hey, watch out, girl! I’m driving! Don’t mess up,” she warned me worriedly.   “Hehehe… I’m sorry, Mom,” I said happily.   Mom just looked at me while sighing.   “Oh, my big baby girl,” said Mom, irritating.   I didn’t care how she looked to me. Yay! Pocket Money.
