I rubbed my eyes reaching for my phone, 6:45am "ugh five more minutes" I yell back to mom whose sweet voice calls me from down stairs, I know I'm supposed to be excited after all I turn fifteen tomorrow. The day everyone is excited for, I finally get my wolf I hope she's strong and beautiful *I roll my eyes at myself, my vanity is showing* After a quick warm shower I run downstairs tripping over my own feet barely catching my balance "slow down sweetie you don't want to get any bruises before your big day" moms chirps from the kitchen, James and Tom sit on the table focused on their own conversation. James is my older brother, he's one of the strongest warriors of our pack. Tom is my dad, he's sweet and gentle but also strong and fierce, he's the Alphas beta. I tie my shoes and pick up a piece of toast heading out the door “bye love you” i shout before closing the door. I didn't want to make Aiden late for school. "Hey gorgeous, good morning" Aiden chirps, his grey eyes twinkling his soft brown hair brushed by the cool october air, I leap onto his arm, I've always had a crush on him. Aiden he's always been supportive but upfront with me, we've been friends since we were in diapers his dad the Alpha and my dad are best friends. "Good morning handsome" I say quickly lowering my head feeling the blush creep up my cheeks he giggles giving me a kiss on my forehead "shall we? We don't want to be late to Mr.Smith's class he'll have our heads". The day dragged on. I could barely sit still, I wanted to go home and try on my dress. I tried playing it cool, wanting to seem disinterested but I'm finally getting my wolf, I would be able to train, shift, and finally find my mate. I secretly hoped it would be Aiden, he's two years older than me yet he hasn't found his mate. He's gorgeous soft brown hair, piercing grey eyes, 6'3 sculpted, he's sweet, understanding and loving his mate would be lucky to have him. I groaned as I tossed and turned "I can't sleep, I'm going for a walk" I said to myself trying to be as quiet as possible mom, dad and James would have my head if they caught me sneaking out at 1am. I decided to jump out of the window, it's quieter than using the front door I thought to myself.. I love the October breeze blowing through my strawberry blonde hair, I pulled my jacket closer as I headed to my favorite place, it was a quiet night the wind howled through the night rocking the beautiful october leaves. I sat on my favorite bench looking at the calm waters of the lake, the moonlight shone on the beautiful yellow and orange leaves bringing me peace; the uneasiness melting away being replaced by the sweet moments I spend with Aiden, i love his warm embrace the way he kisses my forehead every morning, I closed my eyes enjoying the warmth that the thought of him brought me. we've been friends for years, the memories of us flashing in my mind like a movie, we held hands eating ice cream making our way to the park mom and Mrs.Smith close behind us, i fell down and scraped my knee Aiden wasted no time in kneeling by me and wiping my tears away. I was too lost in my thoughts to notice the presence approaching me, a hand was placed on mine making me jump up and yelp; "I'm sorry love I didn't mean to startle you" Aiden said apologetically. Love, he called me love I looked down blushing furiously I punched him the the shoulder he acted as if it hurt "don't do that, I almost died" he giggled "I'm sorry I smelled you I wanted to check on you, why are you here so late and alone" I sighed throwing my hair back, my long wavy hair falling behind my back the beautiful moon making my pale skin radiant "I'm nervous about tomorrow, I might find my mate what if he's not nice what if he rejects me" Aiden pulled me closer to him his scent embracing me making me feel warm and at peace "he'll be a fool to reject you, you're beautiful, smart, strong, caring should i go on?" I felt my face color 50 shades of red making me giggle "you're too sweet of course you would say that we been friends since we were little brats, you're biased" he lifted my chin making me lick my lips subconsciously my breath hitched "baby girl everything I said still holds best friend or not" he gave me a soft kiss on my forehead I felt my heart explode with emotion he truly is the one I want. He walked me home holding my hand telling me how lucky he is to be friends with me and how much fun we'll have tomorrow. He gave me a goodnight kiss on my cheek and waited for me to climb through my window. He's too good, I thank the moon goddess for blessing me with an amazing best friend and hope she'll bless me again making him my mate. It took every ounce of willpower not to kiss her, her pink plump lips looked so sweet I almost lost it when she licked them. Sigh "why cant she be my mate? '' I thought to myself, I wonder if she knows that I love her, she's so beautiful. I was sad seeing her climb up to her window, her cheeks still a deep shade of pink. She's so pure, always blushing when I compliment her. I beg the moon goddess whoever she gets as a mate treats her right I'll kill anyone who hurts a hair on her. I walked back home in deep thought tomorrow she might get to find her mate i'll finally get to train my bestie and meet her beautiful wolf, my wolf was freaking out he was full of excitement for her we both considered her our perfect other half my heart was breaking for him if she was our mate we would have known.
