Character Angela Okay I have to say this before he kills me. He has kept me in a comma since when? You remember? I don't even remember while others are having fun am tied to a hospital bed somewhere only Arya and Paul know, with a doctor and a nurse. And also, Ben hasn't visited me since I came round. I hope he is fine wherever he is. Before you kill me bring my son to see me you loggerhead. Author Ooh granny is getting salty. This is just fiction no hard feelings...anyway Tina was graduating. After two years of college she was finally graduating, focused and goal oriented. There was no man happier than Ronald. If there was something he cherished was seeing his daughter make progress. The two had been through a lot and a celebration was called. They were hosting a party for her. All her friends were in attendance. The rule was very simple. It was an agreement actually not more of a rule. Her parents, Ronald and Leila were to introduce themselves, drink a couple of glasses and then desert the place so that the kids could do what they did best. Overdrink, abuse drugs, fornicate, fight and whatever else they did in college parties. And even though Ronald was a bit uptight it was Leila who talked him out of saying "Hell no, not under my watch" were they alone that was what he would have said. "You don't always have to take her side you know, it's making her more courageous to flaunt my parental enactments", Ronald complained. The two were watching from their room as the young guests arrived one after another. His home was turned into a club as they came in two by two, dressed like... He liked how they dressed especially the ladies. It tickled his loins. But for Ronald it was better to bring the club to his daughter than to allow his daughter to go to a club. Leila took both of his hands and looked him in the eye then she said "Paranoid parent, kids her age are prone to that, defiance and flaunting the rules trying out new stuff you did that did you?" He did not answer. She held him by the waist and continued, "You will have to let her be the person she wants. I know it’s scary but one of this days you will have to wake up without her in the house. She will be probably married or gone out for a date or for drinks with friends. You cannot protect her at all times but as a parent you can only hope she is always fine wherever she is, "She exhaled sharply. He was showing signs of cracking now," You need to begin letting go tremendously, let her put into practice what you've taught her all this years. It's time for her to leave the nest, look for a job rent an apartment. No offense but also get her heart broken", she broke free and created a distance between them. Ronald walked towards her. He hugged her from behind. The body heat between them became intense, the same body heat that he was feeling a few minutes back was now making him horny. "Are you pricking me with that thing? Really when we are trying to be serious here?" She asked smiling. "Not voluntarily and hey don't call it a thing" Ronald argued. "Does it have a name?" "Can we go back to where we were? I heard what you said you know and am willing to try to be a little less protective but as you know it will take time" He said. She was glad her words were having an impact on his thinking. And she was also happy that he was getting to see her role in their relationship. In her mind the wedding bells were already ringing. He had not proposed yet, in the real world. In her mind she had the ring, the diamond ring on her finger was glowing and they were just waiting to exchange their vows before going for a honeymoon. "Good, for starters why are watching her? Let's do something fun" She suggested. He had that sick smile on his face. She walked away, "Something apart from s*x" "I didn't say anything" Complained Ronald following her to their bed. "I know that look" "Fine, you caught me. I just can't get my mind off it. s*x I mean but let's talk about your work maybe the sadness might calm him down" She held him close. He was lying on her lap with her hands massaging his head. "They are coping up, Arya’s mom came she seems to be nice and Scott is not in a good mood. Totally not doing well I think he is regretting not using the time he head to ment his relationship with Ben" "Arya is the pregnant girl you told me about?" "Yeah, she is really nice to us... I mean employees I like her everyone does but I think Melissa does not and she us not scared to hide it" Ronald tilted his head, "She is Lincoln’s daughter what do you expect. Even though Alicia said Ben's death was from natural causes I have a feeling Lincoln had something to do with it. The two have been enemies since like forever it was the arranged marriage that calmed down the sparks of war" "Turns out Arya is pregnant of Scott and not Ben" "What?" Surprised Ronald asked. "Yeah, now Arya is part of the family and she has an advantage over Melissa because she is a few weeks away to delivery..." "And there is nothing more happier than replacing a lost life with a new one" Ronald interrupted her. The rest of the conversation was on who was going to take over the entire estate. It was a question on everyone's lips. Ronald was hoping Alicia was the chief administrator. The hospital deal was still an interest. He had gone back to his parent career, construction and Ben wanted him to do some repairs to a stalk project he had bought. He missed his friend and sometimes business enemy, Ben freaking Richards. They relationship was malleable, or it could take any shape depending on the circumstances. That evening he told Leila how he met Ben and how much he cherished that man who was now dead. ****Flashback***** The two met after college, they knocked on doors around Fort Canon together and most of the time got rejected. Ben was the first one to land in a job. That time Ronald was still struggling to make ends meet. Ben took him under his wing. "We can stay here until you get a job", Ben had said to him when they got to his one bedroom apartment. "Thanks man am working hard to get back on my feet", Happy Ronald said. "Okay am going back to work, make yourself comfortable" Ben said. While being hosted by Ben, Ronald kept looking a job. He gave up on applying for engineering gigs and just started to look for anything that could bring him money. Ben's house was comfortable but he needed to think about moving out. By then Ben had started seeing Alicia. The three could go on dates together, and he always introduced him as his brother. Ronald was not conformable hanging around the two, he felt he was denying then privacy but Ben was keen on making him feel loved. One lucky day he landed a job as a bar tender. "We need to celebrate", Ben had said when he got home that evening accompanied by Alicia. "I have an idea", Alicia said. "Guys am good it's just a job you know" Ronald argued making it look like a mere thing "One that will open doors to what we have always talked about, owning half this city or the rest of it. The richest men and women in fort Canon" He always included women because Alicia was a staunch feminist, "It's all possible" They celebrated his first job at his place of work. And in the following weeks Ben would stop by for a beer, he would seek audience with the richest people in fort Canon, talk to them and listen more. Then they would go home with Ronald. In a month Ronald had moved out and Alicia came in. He did not go far from Ben though, his apartment was a few blocks away and he also started seeing Whitney...The changes that followed drafted them apart but at heart they were still brothers. ******End of flashback***** Character ***Ben Richards II*** He told it exactly how it was. As much as am sad my brother thinks am dead, all my brothers are dead and they chose the worst time to die. I was just starting to get rich the media was not crucifying me about sacrificing my brothers and it was all scary and sad but I got through it. You see when people throw you out to be a monster or consider you to be one. You either bring the monster alive or learn to kill the pain. I can do both by the way.... Author For a dead man ben talks too much... That morning as usual he was going for morning run. Thanks to Arya he was now taking his own health seriously. Dressed all black, a black cape, black goggles, black track suit, two guards on each side and Mark behind them. They were armed to the teeth, being a forest anything could happen and anyone could see them. Ben needed to stay dead. "Mark! Some water" said Ben breathing heavily. Mark handed him a light green bottle of water as they continued jogging. He took two sips and gave it back. "Any of you guys feeling tired already?" Ben inquired. "No sir we can stop if you are feeling exhausted" Mark said. "Then Arya will kill me if she finds out" "She is a nice girl sir" "I realized it too late, Scott is better off with her than Lincoln’s daughter... How is he anyway I want to give him no peace like a ghost he can't cast out" "He has no peace sir” Assured mark. “Keep it that way" They got to the house. Ben took some time to rest outside as they led him in a jog. He was sweating profusely, his pot belly swinging up and down. Ben was young for his age. He still was strong enough with some energy left to battle through the years. "With Allan a fugitive on the run I need another doctor", Said Ben stretching. "I will talk to Paul about it sir" "Can't you just take care of it yourself, I mean you are capable" "He is my superior sir" "And am his boss, asking you to get me a doctor who can keep his mouth shut" "I will see what I can do sir," He stared at his watch, "Enough for today" "Ooh thank God I was on my last gasp" He was not planning on "resurrecting" anytime soon. It was selfish to Alicia and Scott but it was also worth it if he wanted to stop such mess from happening again. He wanted to deal with it once and forever, for the safety of his grandchild and the entire family. He was it sure how he was going to end it. Ben was not that brutal and maybe Lincoln might have forced him to rethink his humanity, turn off the switch and tackle him like a man. The killer instinct in him was awaken. And he was not sure what was going to stop him now that Alicia was thinking he was dead. She was his reverse button, whenever things went too far she was the one to always remind him of his humanity. Paul was also a key figure but his word had no weight like hers. As he sat in that hot tub. He came to realize how important family was to him and how important it was for him to protect them at all costs.
