Since Angela's death Ben’s life had changed for the worse. It was at that time that he found out the importance of family. It shielded one from sorrow such that they didn’t have to face it alone. He had people around him, guards and maids but he still felt alone as though he was living on an island surrounded by nothing but pain and sadness. Mark saw it too, Ben was slowly sinking in drinking all day. Though not part of his job description he took the initiative to try and talk him out of it. Devastated Ben was a hard man to deal with.
