After they dropped the information bombshell on me, Micah and Minerva brought me back to the hospital so I could see Lawrence. Thankfully we didn’t have to drive back through town. I didn’t think I could face the townspeople’s ire and not react. The longer I stayed in The Aerie, the harder I fought to not embrace my Fae queen side and do what all the Fae queens before me had—treat other races as inferior and punish them for their insolence, even if it would drain me of my strength.
When I reached Lawrence’s room, I found the door closed, so I knocked. Barton Lucia opened the door.
“Oh good, it’s you.”
