Jeremy couldn't sleep. He sat in bed with his back to the wall. The window was open a crack. The cool night air felt refreshing. While the curtains swayed from the breeze, an aroma from a nearby wood burning stove entered the room. The only light came from a sliver of moonbeam visible on the floor.
