Chapter 7Tuesday, September 6th The sunny morning was misleading. Jeremy wasn't looking forward to the first day of work. He spent much of the morning in the bathroom, his stomach upset and didn't leave until he had nothing left to give. Jeremy spent Sunday and Monday practicing on the scooter. He'd figured out how to ride without crashing. It might not deserve a pat on the back, but Jack made him feel good about the minor accomplishment. They cooked hotdogs on the grill Monday and kept small talk going for most of the evening. It was as if silence made Jack apprehensive.
