Chapter 5The first thing Jeremy realized: he was still sitting inside his uncle's truck. The seat belt fabric irritated his neck. When his vision returned, it came in colorful swirls and he reached out his hand touching the dash for balance. Everything, slowly, came into focus. The passenger door was open. Uncle Jack stood beside him and was holding him by the shoulders. “Uncle Jack?” Jack couldn't hide his apprehension. With eyes open wide, concern forced his eyebrows together like a pyramid beneath creases across his forehead. “Are you okay?” “I think I'm just tired.” It was a blatant lie.
