Ep.7 - Kaitlyn And The Gang

1197 Words
**Kaitlyn's POV"   Even though I'm surrounded by a massive crowd, my head still turns toward the door every times it flips opened and expect whoever walks trough the door would be her--The girl with emerald green eyes and summer blonde hair named Ann. I don't quite sure why. Maybe, I'm just looking for some friendly face. I could only guess.   Shaking my head slightly, I turn my attention back to the guy in front of me. He has black hair and the same goes for his eyes. He meets my eyes and starts talking.     "Hello, my name is Lord Neville Oregien--Count Carlos's 1st born son"     "Hi Neville--I mean Lord Neville"   I correct how I addressed him after I saw how he reacted. The face he made, it's like he was bitten by a weasel or worse! I try to hold my laugh and continue.     "Glad to make you acquaintance, m'lord. My name's Kaitlyn Sanchez"     "A pleasure"   He nods at me stiffly then leaves to introduce himself to someone else. Couldn't believe he used his father's reputation to win a friend. Even he did gained a friend from that, it's not gonna a genuine one.     "Can't believe they let pompous weasel walks around the campus"   I laugh aloud as it caught me off guard. Taking a minute to regain my posture, I look at the guy we spoke exactly my thought. His jean and jacket matched his easy-going look nicely. He holds out his hands and says when I shake it.     "Drake Walker. No need for nonsense title things"     "Kaitlyn Sanchez. Nice to meet you"     "Likewise. Can't believe you're able to keep you calm in front of him. 'Cause if it's for me, I might laugh at his snobbery face already"     "Oh, trust me--It's easier than it looks. Just focus on something else like imagine what he might sounds like after lost a few teeth to my fist"     "Heh, Cocky. I like your style. You might survive after all"   The simplest rule of this event is...if you could talk to other more than 3 sentences, considered them a friend. As easy as that. We continue our conversation before agree on getting some refreshments. I look in Drake's arms which he took many kinds of food and piles it up like a tower with amazed eyes.     "Quite a structure you built there"   That sweet voice must've read my mind. Drake and I turn to see a girl in pink dress with brown hair smiles at us. There's also a funny-looking guy beside her.     "Hi. My name's Hana Lee. And this's Maxwell Beaumont"     "New friiiiiiiinds!"   Without warning, Maxwell pulls Drake and I into his huge bear hug. He made me feel like dealing with a high energetic puppy. Drake awkwardly avoids being hugged any further while tries not to trip over his pile of foods.     "Hi, Hana, Maxwell. I'm Kaitlyn Snachez"     "Drake walker--And could you please hold back his leash for me?"     "Oww--You hurt me, Drake"   Hana laughs with me as we saw Maxwell pretended to be shot by Drake's words. Drake rolls his eyes and ignores Maxwell to enjoy his food.     "Sorry about that, Drake--But I'm afraid that was out of my control"     "Great"     "Anyway, are you guys having a good time?"     "Yes. It's better now that we found more better and friendlier company--Unlike my...1st attempt to get to know people in this event"   Hana raises her eyebrow in questioned. I look at Neville which made her giggling.     "Ahh, yes--His lordship also made a...good impression on our behalf as well"   We share one more laugh then decide to find somewhere quieter to chat. Maxwell is funny, out-going and a little weird--Good weird, of course. With that personal of his, we almost don't believe that he's an Alpha.     "Seriously guys, I can't believe that I'm an Alpha either"     "Well, at least we could agree on that"     "Ouch!"   There he is,the verbal abuser of our newly group. I know it might looks like Drakes mean and hard to talk with, but his actions clearly show the opposite. Drake I saw in front of me, is tossing a soda on Maxwell's lap like he's trying to say that he's just messing with him. He cares for his friends. He just has a strange way to show it.     "Come on Maxwell, don't be sad. Our Beta-bear just shared his soda with you"     "Hey, who did you call Beta-bear?"     "It's you, silly"   We laugh when Drake tries to protest what I just said. Hana pats him playfully on his back.     "Ohw, forgive me, Drake. She's just teasing you"     "Well then, what about you, funny girl? Woodpecker Beta?"     "I--Umm"   Shift myself uncomfortably after heard that question. When suddenly, Hana speaks up.     "Drake, let her be. Us girls always have secrets. It makes us more interesting that way"     "Fine"   Drake lets me off the hook and enjoys his foods. Hana winks at me. Does she did that on purpose to help me? I still don't understand, but then she stands up and asks me to assist her with getting more soda can. When we are far enough from other people, She whispers to me.     "If you aren't ready to come out, then don't tease other about it"     "I--Thank you"     "Be extra careful next time,or else others might know that you're an Omega"     "How did you--"     "I just realized that second ago from your reaction. Before that, I wasn't sure"   I bit my lower lips as this conversation seems suddenly awkwardly. I don't even have a courage to meet her eyes because I'm not sure how it'll turn out in the end.     "Will you...tell the other?"     "It's not my secret to tell. Furthermore, I'll be the last one to judge you anyway"     "What? How so?"     "If it'll made you feel safer and to confirm that I won't tell a soul about it, here's my secret--I was born as an Alpha from an Omega father"     "What!?--Sorry, I didn't mean to..."   She squeezes my hands and gazes directly into my eyes then says.     "It's okay. I'm not gonna deny it. And I'm not ashamed of it either"     "Hana..."     "What I want to say is...I understand why you feel insecure. And trust me when I say I know what it might put you through"     "Thank you, Hana...for everything"   That's all I can say to her. It must been hard for her and even harder for her father. Even she doesn't tell me about it, but I could see it within her eyes. Words doesn't matter to us right now as we shared common ground. We just smile in silent, go grab some can and get back to the guys.     "There, they're"     "Missing us already, Maxwell?"     "Nah. We just wonder where on earth you went to grabbed those cans"     "Well, Drake's charming as usual, isn't he?"     "I'm afraid so"     "Sorry, Drake. But like Hana said--"     "Yeah, yeah. You both can keep your secret. But please share us some can"   At least, they seem like decent folks. I can't thank Hana enough for keeping that secret for me. And for the guys, well, they're good company as well. I'm lucky to be their friend--All 3 of them. **Continue on the next episode**
