Cleo POV:
The drinks I had got me feeling greeeeat like “Tony the Tiger Great”. I am moving to the beat of the music, then suddenly I fell two arms wrapped around my hips. And then the beat drops and it is one of my favorite songs Back dat ass up, by Juvenile. And whoever dude was that was dancing on me was doing a good job keeping up or I am rusty at this club dancing s**t. Jazz turns to me and handed me another shot of whatever that was in her hand. I turned to look at the guy I was dancing with and, damn, he was fine. Like if I was still in my twenties, we would be on top of someone’s car going at it like rabbits.
“What’s your name?”, I asked.
He leaned into my ear and whispered “Racell”, and my body shook, and my p***y started leaking like a faucet. I don’t know if it’s a shifter seducing trick or the liquor. But I am turned all the way the f**k on.
“And what’s yours,” he asked in the sexiest voice I ever heard.
Before I had a chance to answer, I heard the most horrible growl ever. I got sober quickly, p***y dried up, and s**t. The whole club got quiet. I turned and saw Valenzano standing there with his eyes golden.
Valenzano POV:
As I get closer to Cleo, I smell her arousal. I knew if I could smell it, the whole damn club could. And especially Racell the damn werebear she was dancing with. The sight of him touching her and the smell of her arousal drove Vintage mad. He pushed forward and growled. He wanted to shift and tear Racell apart. The club went silent and the next thing I know Racell is on the floor with a broken face. Yes, I actually broke his face. And if it wasn’t for West getting between us and the smell of fear coming from Cleo, I would have done a lot more.
“Dude outside now”, I heard West say.
“Ladies let's go”, I turned to both Cleo and Jazz.
We all walked outside for some air as the music started to play again. On my way out I am going off on Vintage. He is acting like a pup who got his toys stolen. I am extremely pissed off. What if his actions scared her?
“What the f**k I was supposed to do did you see them two on the dance floor? And the way his hands were rubbing on her and s**t she belongs to us!”, he said, sounding like he was still pissed off.
“She doesn’t know she belongs to us. She is not a part of our world. You acting like that might have scared her off”, I said ready to hit him, which is dumb because we both would both feel it.
“Yeah, but you’re the one who got up to go to the dance floor, not me,” he said, implying the whole situation was my fault.
I blocked him. As we walked outside, I can still smell the fear pouring off Cleo. I didn’t smell any on Jazz, which tells me that she has been around shifters before.
Jazz POV:
“What was that about?”, I asked West. He pulls me to the side and tells me that Cleo is Valenzano's mate.
“This is not going to be good”, I told West. Suddenly, my phone rang and I see it is our landlord.
“Hello, Mr. Mark how are you?”, I asked.
“Not good honey…. I am calling to inform you that the building is on fire as we speak”, he sounds stressed.
“Fire!…what now?”,I said in a panic.
After talking to Mr. Mark, I explained to Cleo, West, and Valenzano the situation. And now we have to find a place to stay for the night.
“You can stay with us,” West said.I looked at him with one eyebrow raised.
“Just for tonight until you find out how bad the fire damage is”, making a great point. But I know what he is trying to do, he is trying to give Cleo and Valenzano more time together so the mate bond can grow. I can’t say that I don’t blame him. My girl has been through a lot and if anyone deserves unconditional love it’s her.
Cleo POV:
After agreeing that we will stay at their house for tonight, we all get into a limo. About an hour of driving in the limo, listening to Jazz and West make-out, avoiding and avoiding Valenzano stares. We made it to a beautiful town. It was dark, but I can tell it would look even better in the sunlight.
“What’s the name of this town. It looks beautiful”, not asking anyone in particular, but of course, Valenzano answers.
“It’s not a town we are in the Pinot Moon Pack territory ….and yes, it is beautiful but not as beautiful as you.” He says with a smile on his face, making me wetter than Niagara Falls.
If I had to judge by the little I saw of the pack lands it is beautiful. It has cafes, stores, we rode past a park, there are flowers everywhere and not just any flowers but my favorite orchids. I wonder if he have a wife that helps him run the pack. Damn, I never even stopped to think if he have a wife and how she would feel about him bringing a strange woman home.
Valenzano POV:
The smell of her arousal in the limo got me fighting with Vintage for control. And it doesn’t help that West and Jazz are two seconds from f*****g each other. I watch Cleo as she stares out the window and says,” What’s the name of this town it looks beautiful? “My heart stops when she expresses, her liking for the pack grounds. She wasn’t expecting me to answer but I did.
“She’s going to love it here”, he sounds like a she-wolf.
“I need for you to relax. She is only here for a night", I said annoyed at how hyper he is getting.
“Yeah, but if you stop fighting me for control, I can make tonight the best night of her life and she won’t want to leave”, he says while smirking.
“If I let you take control you would ruin everything…. she is not a she-wolf you can’t mate and mark within hours of meeting her”, I said making my point to him.
“Why not?”, he says, as if I said something wrong to him. I can’t with him he is so stubborn.
“O MY GODDESS, because she is human…and not to mention your behavior at the club scared her”, I swore if he was in front of me I would punch him.
As Vintage and I talk I hear Cleo's stomach growl. I mind link the cook and telling him that we are on our way. And to have something prepare us upon our arrival
“Racell pissed me off and she is OURS. No one is allowed to touch her but us!”, damn he is still mad.
I block him so he can’t fight me for control anymore. We reached the house and West and Jazz stopped their soft porn session. Cleo's face was priceless as I watched her stare at my house.
