“I must say, we’re happy to see this place open again!” With those parting words, my last customer for the day turned around and left the cafe. I wiped the sweat from my brow, realising that I had been underprepared for the day. The display was empty—along with the rest of the cafe. There was absolutely nothing left for any customer to purchase. It was either that I had been underprepared, or everyone had wanted to make sure that I was actually open and that it was the same cafe as before. Considering the fact that I had made nearly double the revenue that I would have made on a normal day, I chose to hope that perhaps it was the latter of the two options.
