I took a deep breath, trying to convince myself that this wasn’t going to go as badly as I was expecting it to go. I knew that Persephone was waiting for me in my bedroom. I was certain of it with every ounce of common sense that I possessed in my body. It had been more than two weeks since she had come here, and I knew for a fact that she was starting to get suspicious.
The fact that it had taken her this long to do something like this was surprising, but even so, there was nothing that I could have done to prevent it or make it happen sooner. I didn’t know what I was walking into.
For all I knew, she could just be looking to fornicate, or do something of the sort, or perhaps this was the confrontation that I had been doing my very best to avoid since the moment that she had returned.
