When I first got up, my blinding pain was centered in my shredded calf. I found a tree branch that I could use as a crutch, and the pain shifted to hands. Variety is the spice of life or something, right? On the very long walk back to camp, I can admit to having a few indecent fantasies about Pete. They involved me retrieving his magic dust in unorthodox ways.
