Adrian's POV
It had been the toughest one week of my life but somehow I had been able to pull through by sleeping with the pillow April used in my room. But her scent was beginning to fade from the pillow. It was frustrating.
Concentrating on work was a hassle but I had to try my best to work because I had no option. April wasn't avoiding me. She was always promptly at breakfast and dinner with me but she just sat there and ate. She responded if I talked to her but she wouldn't willingly start a conversation.
The knock on my door brought my attention to the present. I knew it was Kathy, my secretary.
