I stretched as I came awake. I opened my eyes and almost screamed when I saw Adrian resting on one hand and gazing at me.
'Good morning beautiful. Is this how you wake up startled every morning?' Adrian asked smiling teasingly.
'No. You startled me. I wasn't expecting to wake up to someone gazing down at me like that,' I said as I sat up in bed.
I had spent the night in Adrian's room or should I say in the room that was supposed to be ours.
