Everything happened so fast, but all I could see were the people running towards the exit. I knew they were shouting and crying with the way their faces contorted in fear and their mouths open to scream for help. However, I could not just hear anything. It seemed like I had gone deaf in all of a sudden. Being separated from Jennifer was definitely something I did not want to happen so I held onto her hand in a tight clutch while my other hand was gripped by Chris.
