King Ace's POV
"I'm okay. I already told you that. I’ll be fine after a little rest," she said, right after cutting the doctor off.
"I know that but I wanna make sure that you're a hundred percent fine," I replied, turning to the Pack's doctor. He seemed in some kind of daze, glancing back and forth at me and Ivanna.
"Are you sure she's okay? Or is there something you're hiding from me?"
With the way she cut him off, it was clear she was hiding something. And his silence showed he was trying to help her cover whatever it was up.
I needed to know what they were trying to hide. It could be life threatening and I'd be damned if anything happened to her on my watch.
