Song : Blake Rose - hotel room
“A human…” His beast said in a whisper of delight.
“She’s beautiful.” Tate thought with agreement that matched his beasts delight. He couldn’t stop thinking about her. Her soft raven hair to her plump lips that were made for him.
“What did Ginny do that Rayna had to save you?” He asked his sister.
“Um, well Ginny wanted me to drink and kept trying to get me to drink. I didn’t want any but she wasn’t taking no for an answer…”Danny explained and looked down in shame.
She had alpha blood running through her veins and yet she couldn’t even stand up for herself. What kind of werewolf was she?
“I think we should thank her properly.” Tate suggested.
“How are we going to thank her properly?” Danny asked confused on what her brother suggested. They had already thanked her so what more could they do.
“Maybe we could invite her to the BBQ or dinner.” Tate suggested with a smile Danny had never seen before. It was a warm smile filled with tenderness and passion as if he was thinking of love. He suddenly stopped, and the smile went just as fast as it came. He didn’t want Danny to know yet, in fact he didn’t want anyone to know.
Being the mate of an alpha was a dangerous thing. People would wield her as a weapon. How could he put her in such danger?
If he claimed to love her then wouldn’t it be right to let her go and be happy and safe, but he wanted to be selfish for once. He wanted to have and not regret what could have been.
The irony was in the fact that he always wanted a mate until a few years ago when he discovered that another alpha’s mate was used to kill the entire pack. He always wanted a mate, craved one. Being left when everyone else had someone while you had to study. He wanted her more than anything. She was his given, his soul mate. How could he not want her?
“How are you going to invite her.” Danny asked taking him away from gloomy thoughts.
“Um… We could… We have to go back to the club.” He sighed, he dreaded going back there. There were simply too many humans, rogues and too much alcohol. Werewolves were just as prone to getting drunk as humans were.
“You? You are going to la chateau?” Danny laughed. She knew how much her brother despised human establishments.
But it had also made her think. Why would he willingly go into a place he resented so much?

Back with Rayna
…
“Boss.” Emilio called out to Rayna, his practical owner. They shared a look and a wave of understanding washed over her.
“Excuse me. It was a pleasure.” Rayna said curtly. Her face was free of emotions in a second but her gaze lingered on Tate a little bit longer, and as she excused herself Emilio took his time to observer her. She really was the viper among the mice.
She was like a coin, two sides… both angel and devil.
A woman who had the ability to play innocent on one hand and wield a dagger in the other. She was such a cunning woman that was overflowing with ambitious.
A woman who could take what she wanted from you and make you believe that you were willing to give her everything, your mind, heart, soul and whole being. She was the boss although a better term would be queen.
“Emilio, are you done dreaming?” her voice snatched him from thought.
“Yes boss.” He answered with a curt nod.
“What happened that was so urgent.” She asked.
“We found Dante. We have him in the west warehouse.” Emilio answered and opened the car door for her.
“Good, that little rat needs to be taught what happens when you try to double cross the boss.” She smirked and looked out the window. The cold light of the street lamps lit a path to an abandoned warehouse where men awaited her arrival. They gave a curt nod and parted like the red sea.
“Hello darling.” She said announcing her presences.
“Rayna…oh hey…” Dante said nervously.
“I haven’t seen you in forever. Have you been avoiding me?” Rayna said with a hand over heart and a mocking frown.
“What? No…” Dante said but a man silenced all other words when his fist met with Dante’s cheek.
“Are you sure? Is there anything you’d like to confess?” She asked him with a cruel smile.
“Rayna, you're not my pastor.” He laughed, blood dripping from his lips. There was a cloud of fear that was thick and ripe. He knew what was to come and he also knew that no matter what he said that he could escape his fate.
“Pity, you boys don’t get to messy.” Rayna said to the men awaiting her orders. The men grinned and broke their knuckles, give off a scary cracking noise.
“No, no, no, please Rayna!” He begged for his life but Rayna had already turned around and even with his pleading voice that echoed throughout the room she continued to walk away. Her heels clicking with each step which was quickly overshadowed but the bang of a gun.
“They should really consider me a pastor.” She laughed and crossed her legs.
“Where to next boss?” Emilio asked his employer with a smile as if a man had not just died.
“Surprise me.” Her scarlet lips turned up in a wide grin.
