Chapter 4 We need Revenge for our Mate

1017 Words
Back in his office, Ryan seethed with anger as he shut the door behind him. "How dare she?" he muttered to himself, trying to calm down. He closed his eyes and inadvertently fell asleep, but was abruptly awakened by a knock at the door. The door swung open before Ryan had a chance to respond, revealing his mother standing there. "Mom," Ryan called out in surprise. "Am I interrupting something?" Olivia, the former Luna of the Pack, asked as she stepped into the room. "No, no, of course not. Please, come in," Ryan said, gesturing for her to take a seat. As Olivia settled into the couch, she couldn't help but ask about the young woman who had just driven off. "Who was that young girl who just left the palace?" she inquired, her curiosity piqued. Ryan's expression darkened, realizing that it had only been a few minutes since he had dozed off. "Oh, just someone I know," he replied vaguely, but his mother's raised eyebrows suggested she wasn't convinced. "Who is she?" She asked once more. "Let's just leave her alone, okay? Mom!" Ryan said impatiently that he didn't want to let that woman occupy his confused mind any longer! The mere thought of her resistance to him was enough to burn her pack to the ground! How dare she ignore the alpha of the strongest pack? Let's see, she must not have seen how cruel and fast he is when hunting rogues; if she knew, she would not be able to say a word of refusal! "Well, now that you have no more respect for your mother, you have grown strong wings and can ignore your father's wishes with your mother." Olivia sadly began to drop tears; in fact, she was acting, but this trick often works! "FINE!" Ryan helplessly spread his hands. "What do you want me to do?" "An heir! Our clan needs an heir!" Olivia said excitedly. "Mom! Damn it! I've said many times about this: I have my own rhythm!" Ryan growled angrily. His mother was always tired of wanting a grandchild, an heir. "No, things are not fine. Our pack is becoming weaker, and we cannot let it continue like this." Olivia snapped and gave him a stern look. "Weaker? How? I'm doing everything I can to make it stronger. Our pack is one of the largest packs in history. Why do you say that?" Ryan asked seriously. "That's the present, not the future! No alpha of a wolf pack is without an heir! No one can break that tradition! You still haven't found a mate. It's now your responsibility to step up, find a suitable partner, mate, and produce an heir as soon as possible to strengthen our pack. If we don't act fast, rumors will spread, and other packs may attack us!" Olivia expressed her concerns, panicking. As he looked at her, he couldn't bring himself to tell her that he had rejected his mate. "Mom, I'll take care of it," Ryan responded with a heavy sigh. "You won't, and you never will. You always say that, but you never do anything about it. You know we're getting older, Ryan. Even after we retired, we couldn't sleep properly because of the stress of worrying about you and our pack. We're having sleepless nights because we're worried that everyone will see our pack as weak," Olivia stated, taking a deep breath. "We need an heir to inherit this pack, Ryan. I know it's difficult, but you have to try. We want to make sure that there's someone who can take care of the pack and its members after you. I hope you understand," Olivia pleaded with her son, her voice laced with concern. Ryan nodded slowly, his mind preoccupied with thoughts of his rejected mate. As he heard his mother's words, his chest tightened. He knew that she was right. "Mom, I promise I'll do something about it. Please calm down. I'll make sure that no one sees our pack as weak. I won't let you down," Ryan said earnestly, his expression serious. "I know you are. You're the best son in the world," Olivia said as she got up from the couch and walked towards him. "I'll see you later. Love you too," Olivia said, kissing Ryan's forehead. "Love you too. See you later," Ryan replied, nodding as he watched his mother walk out of the office, leaving him alone with his thoughts about his rejected mate. Ryan thought of Alexa's lifeless form on the floor, and before he realized what he had done, he had pulled open the door to the room. But there was no one inside; her cheap dress fell to the floor, and she was gone! Ryan didn't realize the veins in his fists bulged; hadn't she asked him to be her mate? She hadn't rejected him, so why didn't she come and beg him again? "I told you, you shouldn't have refused our mate without my consent!" His wolf, Leon, growled. "She's turned into someone else's b***h, hasn't she?" Ryan retorted his wolf; he could feel her body resisting; she was nervous; she was acting like a w***e, but she was clearly resisting him. He would not tolerate his mate cheating on him! Countless women wanted him, and he would not allow his luna to overshadow his pack! "But didn't you notice a difference in her eyes? She must have really changed!" leon said. No! No one would be so easily changed; Leon's words would only make him more cranky and doubt his decision even more; he needed to go for a run. But as he was about to head out the door, his beta, Logan, came in in a hurry. "Alpha, you need to see this." With a stony expression, Logan handed his phone to Ryan. When Ryan saw Alexa's lover having s*x with her best friend, he was sure if he was there he would have cut David's head off! How could he do this to his mate? Does Alexa know? "Ryan! We need revenge for our mate!" Leon said angrily.
