After breakfast he and Ansella had gone off riding on two of the new horses that he had bought from Tyler.
He was eager for her to forget what had happened two days ago and he thought that the new horses would be at least a distraction.
Riding them for the first time was not just interesting but it meant that the horses had to realise from the beginning that he and Ansella were their Masters.
They rode for a long way and he felt that the green countryside had never looked more attractive.
