Chapter SixThe horses galloped quicker and quicker until just ahead of them there was a stream.
The Earl pulled in his mount and Ansella did the same with Firefly.
As she did so, she looked up at him and she was laughing.
“That was wonderful!” she exclaimed. “I think Star goes faster every time you ride him.”
He bent to pat the stallion on the neck and thought that it had been an excellent buy.
Following Ansella’s information, he had seen Tyler’s horses and could not resist buying four of them.
He excused the extravagance because he thought if they rode every day as far as they had been doing lately. Firefly would occasionally want a rest.
Looking at Ansella now, he thought that the difference in her from her condition a week ago was extraordinary.
