"What's the surprise?" I asked suspiciously.
It seemed a little too convenient that he had a surprise for me right when I needed a little bit of a boost. I couldn't help but wonder if he actually had anything in mind or if he'd decided on the spot that I deserved a surprise. Either way, it made me love and appreciate him that much more.
