When I woke up with beams of sunlight spreading across our bedspread and my handsome husband still sleeping beside me, I felt such happiness. Looking at the man beside me, his face relaxed with a slight smile, I wanted to kiss him awake. But he’s been working so hard to keep us safe that I decided against it.
