CHAPTER TEN
"Why do you want to be with me?"
He was silent for a minute or two. All I heard was heavy breathing. I thought he would answer but he left my question hang.
When the pizza came, we ate in silence as if we both suddenly became mute. After one slice, I stood up. "Goodnight, Aaron."
He gave me a tired smile, "Goodnight, chief." It was the first time I saw him smile after he came back. I could not help but hope.

A knock awakened me from my slumber. "Manang Soling! I'm still sleepy," I shouted and curled up into a ball. The knocking didn't stop so I decided to ignore it.
"Get up, Cassi. Breakfast is ready." My eyes flew open. Memories rushed inside my head at the sound of Aar0n’s voice. We are in Bicol.
I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and opened my door. He was
