14 The trio left the old house and found that Peter had nearly reached the structure. Jack opened the rear passenger door for Catherine. She glared at him, but obliged by slipping into the backseat. Nena joined her back there and Jack took his customary spot beside Pete. He glanced at his stoic partner. “Has the bird flown?” Peter nodded as he turned the car around. “Yes. He informed us he would meet us at the corner of Wilton and Leah in the commercial district tomorrow night.” “Got the hour?” “Yes, but-” Peter’s eyes flickered to the rear view mirror. “She’s fine, now what’s the ‘but’ for?” Jack asked him. “That particular location is near one of the servers from our list,” Peter revealed. Jack smiled. “Well, at least we know he’s telling the truth. Anyway, let’s get home
