11 Nena almost lost her grip when she felt a pair of gloved hands grab her own. She whipped her head back and saw it was Jack. “Hold on!” he shouted. He slowly drew her back inside. Doc appeared at the window and took hold of an arm. Jack and he pulled her back inside. Each inch that returned to the cottage was an inch that resumed its normal form and clothing. They finally set her on the floor beneath the window sill, and Jack tucked the curtains around the open window to seal off the darkness while Doc inspected her lower half. “W-what t-the h-hell w-was t-that?” Nena stammered.
