It was Friday’s fourth and hopefully final day of heat. The following day would be the final Marigold day of the challenge. Finally we were at the half-way point and would be leaving these pack lands. Finally, I was going home. I could not wait to see my mate, Ida, and my son. I had not planned to be away from them for two weeks.
