Upon arriving back to her apartment Elizabeth instantly walked into Gabriel’s room to tell him the news. “Hey Gabe, you’re not going to believe this! I got shares in-” She stopped after she noticed the man was quietly sitting there reading a book, not really interested in what she had to say.
“Good for you.” Gabriel said with a disinterested expression while he closed his book and put it on the nightstand.
“Is something the matter? You look really down…” Elizabeth spoke in a more quiet voice as she sat on the side of the bed where the man laid.
