Thomas walks in followed by Adele. He is reaching for his gun.
Adele runs to hug me. I step back.
"Are you okay? I was worried."
"Yea. It was just a false alarm." Thomas is already checking inside my room and I have to stop him.
"Thomas, there's no one."
"I was worried and he was the only person I could access easily."
"Thanks, I'm fine, it was a false alarm."
Adele knows Thomas because she was dating my brother when I was still dating Thomas so they met a few times when Sankey insisted we have double dates. That always ended up with either of us fighting.
Sankey didn't like Thomas, I didn't like Adele, so it was always predictable how terrible the dates would be.
"Are you sure there was nothing?" Thomas asks and I nod.
"Why are your eyes bloodshot? And you look pale." Adele asks
