Mayor Duncan’s sneaky action on the platform marked the end of Scott’s patience. It was time to confront the man head-on. Not only was he trespassing, but Scott was also concerned about the papers he’d passed on to Keith Butler. He found out through his sources at City Hall that the paperwork primarily regarded the expansion of Skipton Station and a listing of all the properties owned by Sarah Skipton and her granddaughters. He’d sat on the information for a couple of days, wondering what to do, but this last action of the mayor took it out of his hands. Not only did he have to be concerned for his friends, but he needed to protect his client’s interest.
