3 Scout wanted to bolt out of the ship and run after Liam so badly the muscles in her legs were twitching, but she gripped the console tighter and stayed where she was. The ship’s door was so slow to open, the ramp so slow to descend, that even if she charged out as soon as the gap was large enough she didn’t think she’d be in time. The bodies around Liam were hustling him through the milling crowds too quickly. The people from the two larger ships were moving in all directions towards more than a dozen open gateways that led off the platform.
