Chapter 6Gil caught sight of the sky blue of her nails as she pushed the bar’s back door open. “I know, I know,” she said, not speaking to anyone in particular. “I’m late. Flight was delayed. Now let me tell you all the salacious details.” Gil walked through the chaos of the back room, listing off a litany of fake facts about her trip. Tall leggy blonde. Beautiful smile.
