RUMOURED HUMAN GIRL

It's been two days since we got Elia out of the slaves prison, and she has been in this deep sleep. I wondered why but she's fine as the doctor says, I'm glad she's getting better just waiting for her to wake up.

For the past two days, I haven't see Master Derek or Magnus. I wonder where they are, I looked at the time it was six o'clock in the morning.

I stretched myself on the bed, as I sat up I turned to look at Elia before coming down from the bed. Thankfully this wasn't Master Derek's room as the bed wasn't high but it was wide.

I took off my clothes as I tie a towel around my chest after making sure the door was locked. I walked right into the bathroom, thankfully it was a normal bathroom, everything small for humans like me.

I got into the bathtub, the water was warm as I wash my body with soap. I washed my hair, I thought of the time I was in that Godforsaken slave prison with Elia.

The sour food given to us, the tattered clothes. We don't even bath well tch, but now I am eating better food, wearing better clothes and bathing well.

Thanks to Master Derek and Magnus saving me that day, but why did he save me? I asked myself. I'm I important to him? I'm I someone special to him? I made a mental note at the back of my head to ask him when he returns.

When I was done bathing, I took the towel and tied it around my chest and got out of the bathroom. I walked into the dressing room, I dried my body and rubbed lotion on my skin.

I put on a yellow dress and the blue fur coat Venetia gave to me, I was thankful she gave me this coat. This place was cozy as hell.

Now I thought about it, I haven't seen Venetia since the last time we met. I sat down on the chair facing the mirror as I combed my hair and parked it into bun.

I don't want anyone asking me why I didn't braid my hair. After parking my hair, I checked on Elia again before moving towards the window to look outside. My gaze moved to the garden below, and then something caught my attention.

I saw a white little rabbit , it was eating a carrot. God my love for rabbit, I quickly left the window side after glancing at Elia and rushed towards the door. I opened the door and got out of the room to the garden.

Now I thought about it, I didn't know the way to the garden, I came down the stairs holding my gown at the front so I won't fall. Thankfully I saw a maid coming towards my direction, she wore purple light net covering her lower face and had same marking on her neck just like Venetia.

I decided to ask her the way to the garden. " Uhumm excuse me " I said and she stopped to look at me in a weird way. " Please can you show me the way to the garden". She stared at me weirdly, she looked around before answering "down the hall, you'll see a long passage way that leads to the garden" she said and went her way.

" Thank you" I said even though she ignored me. I took the direction she told me and when I got to the hall I saw Venetia who I haven't seen for two days now coming my way but with a worried expression on her face.

When we were close I asked the question on my mind " hi where have you been Venetia".

" Good morning Milady, I'm not supposed to be talking to you right now" the worry in her face didn't seize down a bit.

"Why is something wrong?" I asked her.

"Yes Milady, you're not supposed to be outside cause your life is in danger" she said

" Danger how ? " I asked

" Kind Ethan and Queen Clarissa threatened to kill you once they set thier eyes on you" Venetia finally said.

My eyes widened in shock, I remembered Venetia telling me King Ethan and Queen Clarissa are Master Derek's parents but why will they want to kill me.

" But why I didn't do anything wrong" I said.

"Yes Milady but it's because.... " Venetia paused when we heard footsteps and she quickly dragged me towards a room and shut the door quietly.

"Who was that ?" I whispered.

"I don't know Milady but if any one caught us together we're both dead" Venetia whispered back to me.

Now I'm scared with this information I just received, but why will they want me dead.

"Why will they want me dead" I asked Venetia I need to know why.

" It's because you're Master Derek's mate" Venetia said when the footsteps fades away.

" Mate? What's that? And how does that connects with me?" I threw alots of questions at Venetia.

" Calm down Milady, you need to ask Master Derek that when he returns".

" Why can't you tell me, I don't even know where Master Derek is it Magnus" I said frowning. How can I calm down when my life is in danger . Like come on I just got out if the slaves prison.

" I heard Master Derek was angry at his parents for threatening to kill you when they were having breakfast so he left angrily" Venetia said.

" But.. but why will they kill me" I still asked to be sure I wasn't hearing things.

"Because you're human and not a giantess"

"But you're human too" I Said

"Yes Milady, but I'm a maid and I'm not Master Derek's mate either" .

She was right, ' what's this mate thing anyway' I made another mental note at the back of my head to ask Master Derek.

"Where Magnus?" I asked maybe he could keep me safe from the king and queen.

" He ran after Master Derek, you know they are both close".

"I've been inside the room with Elia not knowing what was actually going on" I said

" You need to go back to the room to be safe Milady" Venetia said

I nodded my head and saw Venetia opened the door gently and peeped through to check if anyone was passing by.

"You can go now Milady, no one is passing by quickly " she said to me and I got out of the room " thank you "I said and she smiled for the first time.

Half way up the stairs I then remembered what I actually came down for ' the rabbit' I said in my head. I ran back to the hall , I just hoped the rabbit was still there.

When I got back to the hall, I couldn't find any sign of Venetia. I got to the passage way, I was half running and half walking. I was scared to be caught by the king or queen or any giant or giantess on the way.

Thankfully I didn't meet anyone , when I finally got to the garden. God it was so tall now that I'm close to it. The plants and flowers were tall, I was just like Alice in the wonderland.

Anyways I walked into the garden all though I was scared to be stepped on. I looked around for any sign of the little white rabbit but I couldn't find it anywhere.

I saw footprints of the rabbit's feet , I followed it and I didn't realized that I was going deeper and deeper into the garden that was like a forest to me. And then I saw the rabbit fluffy white tail sticking out of a flower.

I ran towards it to grab the rabbit but it got scared and ran away. I frowned my face " come on little rabbit , I just want to hold you not eat you" I said .

I followed the rabbit's trail and found it eating a carrot under a sunflower. I tiptoed towards it till I got closer to it and grabbed it " gotcha " I said.

The rabbit tried running away from me but I held it tight " hey stay calm, I won't eat you" I said as I smoothed it's white fur, it feels so soft in my hands.

The rabbit stopped sturggling and just as I decided to go back inside the castle I heard a deep masculine voice behind me.

"Ain't you the little rumoured human girl".

I turned around slowly till my gaze landed on a male giant who stood behind me. His blue eyes staring back at me, I moved backwards as I held my rabbit close to me.
