EPISODE 5

LEONARDO “MY Rosa,” I mentioned her by name. I cannot resist the warmth of the body that embraces me. I am unable to express how I'm feeling right now. All I know is that I desire her. I know it's wrong because I have a girlfriend. However, my body felt stronger. I kissed her soft, sweet lips. I never tire of kissing her alluring lips. “You’re so beautiful, my Rosa,” I whispered as I moved over her. Her lips parted as she closed her eyes. I am not using a condom. I’d prefer not to. I can feel the warmth of her femininity more. Unlike my girlfriend, I use a condom since she does not want to get pregnant. I want to get Rosabella pregnant. If I ever make her pregnant. I will not abandon my responsibility for our future child. We both reached the pinnacle of our lovemaking. We were both sweating. Rosabella hugged me. I cradled her against my chest. I kissed her forehead. I was so exhausted that I fell asleep. I awoke with no one by my side, which is what I expected. I got up to shower. I looked at the clock. It's 6:30 a.m. I need to get to work after leaving my room. I saw that my condominium was clean. Perhaps Rosa had cleaned it. I smiled as I remembered what happened last night. I ate breakfast. She never forgets to cook my breakfast. I went to the office early to avoid traffic. I also had a lot of work to finish that I left behind yesterday. When I entered my office, I saw Rosa organizing the papers on my table. “Good morning, Rosa,” I greeted her. I was about to kiss her on the lips when Rosa pulled away. I frowned. “I was going to go under time,” she said. “Why? Where are you going?” I asked. “Because I filed a loan with SSS.” I sat down in my swivel chair. I looked at Rosa. “You don’t have to file a loan with the SSS; I’ll give you money,” I said with determination. Why does she need that? What is she saving for? Annabella isn’t even studying anymore, she is already working. “I’ll also change my ID; it’s outdated,” she reasoned. I raised my eyebrows at her. “I’ll ask our messenger to take care of changing your ID. Provide a new picture of yourself, that’s fine,” I told her. “That’s not possible; I need to be there to take a picture of myself.” She made things difficult for me. “Okay, come back here early. I need you here. I left a lot of work yesterday,” I told her. I opened the laptop to check the emails that had arrived from the client. “It is your fault that you left your job yesterday,” she remarked grumpily. “My girlfriend is much more important than my other work that I can do later,” I told her. “It’s also important that I go there; you can do it on your own!” she abruptly dropped the folder she was holding and walked out of my office. I stood up and followed her. “Rosa, what’s your problem? Didn’t I say I would give orders? That’s better, you won’t get tired.” She glanced at me in amazement. “I can leave work now because it’s more important. And you can’t stop me if I leave!” she grumbled sheepishly. She snatched the bag, leaving me stunned. I picked up the phone to call security. “This is Leonardo Romano. Don’t let Ms. Rosabella Barcellano leaves. As long as I’m not there,” I ordered the security guard below the building’s lobby. “Yes, Sir,” he responded, and I finished the call. Why is Rosa annoyed this morning? As soon as I stepped out of the elevator, I heard Rosa’s voice arguing with the Security Guard. “You can leave us,” I told the Security Guard. He nodded. “What is this, Leo? I’m going somewhere important! Let me out of here!” I heard her scream. I sighed violently. “I told you, you could just get your SSS ID done. You’re just making it hard for yourself. Someone will take care of it if you want to!” I couldn't take her attitude. Sometimes I can't understand her anymore. “Didn’t I say I didn’t want to? Can't you understand? You agreed, right? Why don't you want to let me go now?” I groaned and combed my hair. “Okay, fine!” I said. “You can leave now!” I said and turned away from her. I had lost patience with her. She is unbelievable. I couldn’t sit still. I realized that I had acted wrong earlier. What was my problem, and why didn’t I want to let her go? I felt a pang in my face. It was hard for me when I couldn’t see Rosa. I wanted her to be there all the time. I took out my phone to call her. My jaw dropped as Rosa’s number went unanswered. I’m sure she’s mad at me. It’s all my fault. I called the nearest SSS where Rosabella could go. I frowned when the SSS staff confirmed that no one named Rosabella Barcellano had requested a new ID. Where did she go? ROSABELLA I feel horrible about what Leonardo did to me. I understand his girlfriend is more important. What he said earlier was like a slap in the face to me. His relationship is more important than his career. He cannot seem to get upset no matter what his girlfriend does. But he raises his voice to me. The pain in my chest caused me to cry. When the OB-GYN arrived, I wiped away my tears. I entered her clinic. “You need to take care of yourself, Ms. Barcellano. Your baby’s heartbeat is weak. You’re pregnant for twelve weeks and already in the third trimester. It means this stage needs caution. Especially if you are working or stressed at work. It’s not good for your baby because at this stage the baby is just starting to develop.” I agreed with the doctor’s advice. “Yes, Doctor. I will do everything I can for my baby.” I held my stomach. I could not help but worry about that man. I’m not going to be okay as long as I see him. I need to leave work. I will be far away. The decision is up to everyone. I do not want to give up my child's life for a man who does not value me. I pulled out my phone from my pocket to call Annabella. Several texts arrived. They all came from Leonardo. My eyes widened. Rosabella, just calm down. Remember what the doctor said. Don’t be stressed. I decided to return to the office and finish my work. Fortunately, I completed my OB-GYN appointment early.
