Elizabeth sat down in Richards's office chair while the latter stood with his back to her as he stared out the office window. The atmosphere inside the office was quiet and cold with the crackling fire in the fireplace being the only source of light or sound.
" Say that again," Richard said still not looking at her. Elizabeth looked at him " I'm leaving in a few minutes and I want to take Alexander with me" she said. Richard didn't respond as he continued to stare out the window.
Finally, he spoke " And what makes you think I'll allow you to leave with my son?" he asked. Elizabeth raised an eyebrow " Your son since when is he your son because last time I recalled you spoke of him you called him a worthless bastard".
Richard finally turned to face Elizabeth"
