Chapter six : Giant snake mayhem

 Dragon and his friends were just stunned while staring at the enormous snake in front of them. The large size of the snake, make the bodies of Dragon and friends are covered by wide shadow , because the sun's rays are blocked by the snake's giant body, which continues to stare at them with a sharp glare from its eyes, as if it is preparing to do something surprising.

 The snake let out a hissing sound while sticking out its tongue continuously, then slowly its entire body moved upward to get out of the surface of the sand, while continuing to pay attention to the humans underneath.

 Dragon appealed to Tatsui, Nara, and Beppu to remain silent and not make any movements. Although the three friends obeyed, it was different with Nara and Beppu's horses. The horse did not want to stay still and instead continued to move around, perhaps due to panic in the presence of a giant creature appearing before him. Looks like the horse felt the killing aura of the giant snake. which was also felt by Dragon and his friends, even Melinda felt something was wrong and immediately warned Dragon to run away from there immediately.

Nara and Beppu were unable to control their horse, which was panicking, no matter how hard they tried.  While Dragon and Tatsui were left alone there alone, in front of a giant snake who continued to watch them while sticking out his tongue. Dragon immediately told Tatsui to go after Nara and Beppu. Or rather he told Tatsui to save herself while he would try to distract the snake and buy time for his friends to go far.

 But Tatsui did not want to obey Dragon's orders, he wanted to accompany the Dragon there, to take part in buying time for Nara and Beppu so they could survive. Then Dragon spoke to her that accompanying him there was a stupid decision. An ordinary human could not possibly win against that giant snake.

 The same words apply for Dragons. Tatsui still insisted even though Dragon kept telling her to leave, because she felt she still had a debt towards Dragon, because Dragon had healed her wounds, and now Tatsui would try to help and protect Dragon as much as he could. Tatsui did not want to be considered weak even though she was a woman, and even if she had to die there, that would not be a problem for her, she did not mind even having to sacrifice her life. Despite all that, Tatsui was also convinced that Dragon possessed extraordinary strength from every object attached to his body.

 Dragon and Tatsui remained silent and did not show the slightest intention to attack or do anything against the snake. Who knows that giant snake will only pay attention to them without doing anything and then immediately leave the two of them there. But apparently a few moments later, what they both had anticipated, finally really happened.

 The giant snake began to wag its tail towards Dragon and Tatsui, so that the two of them slammed far enough away along with a huge splash of sand. Then both of them immediately stood back up so they could anticipate the next attack. It seems like the giant snake did have an intention that would endanger the lives of the two of them, therefore Dragon now decided to give a fight.

 Dragons are indeed just ordinary humans, but every object that is currently being carried by him, has powers that should not be underestimated. For now, Dragon will ask for help from Melinda, which is a golden plate located on his left shoulder. While holding both palms to the side. Dragon said, "Melly, I need a little help here."

 Then suddenly a dagger appeared in each of Dragon's grasp. That made Tatsui very surprised when she saw it, then she said. "Wow, that's great. Is that your true strength? " Tatsui asked in amazement after seeing the appearance of the daggers in Dragon's hands.

 "I don't know, i think yes." Dragon replied with a slight smile.

 Then Dragon gave the two Dagger to Tatsui, while giving them, Dragon said, "Take this."

 After catching and grasping the two daggers, Tatsui then asked. "If this is given to me, then what about you?"

 "Take it easy, I still have a lot." Dragon replied while raising again the dagger in both hands, which made Tatsui amazed again.

 After that Dragon continued his words. "Oh yeah, be careful when using it, because the knife will disappear by itself over time." Said Dragon.

 "All right, I understand ... I just need to ask you again when it’s gone, right?" Tatsui said.

 "Yes, now let's face the big creature."

 "Okay, let's take action." Tatsui and Dragon were really ready to fight.

 Then something no less surprising happened. Suddenly the giant Zuci Desert snake opened its mouth wide, then lowered its head quickly headed down, to be able to devour Dragon and Tatsui. It turns out things that were anticipated by Dragon, actually happened. the snake did intend to eat both of them.

 Without warning, Dragon and Tatsui immediately jumped in the opposite direction, so that the two of them could avoid being eaten by the huge creature, then their bodies were blown away by a gust of violent impact between the mouth of the giant snake and the surface of the sand, until the giant snake's head. really sink into the surface of the sand. Now the positions of Dragon and Tatsui are separated, they are each on both sides of the snake's head.

 Then Tatsui decided to alight and hold on to the scales on the giant snake's head, he also told Dragon to do the same, so the two of them were now perched on either side of the enormous snake's head.

Because if they face the creature from below, then the two of them will only become easy targets that are easy to attack, whereas by utilizing their advantage as a smaller creature, then they can attack their larger-sized enemies, by alighting on them and then targeting the most vital part of the body, for example like the eye.

The giant snake raised his head up again to observe the situation around him again, he looked for two humans who were unable to be devoured by his mouth, but they were both nowhere, even though the giant snake's head had circled several times to find the whereabouts of the Dragon and Tatsui They are not anywhere because at the moment those two people are in his heads, or rather are holding on to the scales on his heads.

 A few moments later, Dragon shouted. "Let's attack together!" Then Tatsui who realized the invitation, immediately jumped and alighted from one scale to the other, to approach the snake's eyes, as well as the case with the Dragon which was getting closer to the snake's eyes on the opposite side.

 Tatsui and Dragon had arrived near the eyes of the snake who were staring at the sand beneath it, then Dragon prepared the dagger in his hand, to be drained into the snake's eyes, as well as Tatsui, who also had a dagger in his hand firmly . Then simultaneously, the two of them began launching their respective attacks. Dragon pierced the right eye while Tatsui pierced the left eye. They both did it with all their might.

 But they were both surprised, when they realized that the two of their attacks did not work at all. The two giant snake eyes were very hard, as hard as diamonds, whether kicked or stabbed it still wouldn't work, Dragon and Tatsui kept trying to pierce the snake's eyes, even they had also tried to cut the scales and other body parts that were near his eyes, but the entire surface of the skin along with the scales of the giant snake are very hard and not easily scratched at all.

 Then, the snake who had realized that the two humans were near his eyes, immediately shook his head so that the bodies of Dragon and Tatsui were tossed about, so that they could both be dropped from his head.

But it turns out the two humans who were perched on his head, is very difficult to get rid of. The two of them held on so tightly as not to fall down. After a few moments shaking his head, then the snake paused for a moment, he looked down and seemed to start deciding to dive again into the sand. If that happens, the bodies of Dragon and Tatsui will be carried along then buried in the sand.

 They both immediately climbed onto the snake's head, so they could meet each other face to face. And after they reached the top, it turned out that the snake was trying to fling them both away, by flicking their heads left and right, but they both held tight to the snake's scales.

 Then Dragon shouted, "We must find his weakness!"

 After hearing these words, Tatsui immediately looked in all directions. Tatsui looked at all parts of the snake's body to look for gaps or scratches that could be injured. Then a few moments later the two of them together found a little flaky scales. Its location is right in the middle of the giant snake's forehead.

NTatsui told Dragon to stick his dagger on the slightly chipped scales, then Dragon immediately climbed onto the snake's head and then ran towards the middle of the forehead and approached the snake's slightly peeled scales. But their time was up, because the snake had truly decided to dive back into the sand. He lowered his head down then buried his whole body in the sand as he kept going.

 Tatsui immediately let go of her grip and jumped away from the snake's body when it happened dive completely, so she did not go into the sand, while Dragon who had stuck his dagger in the gap in the snake's scales were slightly peeled, apparently did not have time to jump from the snake's head , and instead still holding on to the dagger which was firmly embedded in the gap of the snake's scales, so that the Dragon's body was carried away diving into the sand.

 Tatsui who saw that felt worried for Dragon, because he was afraid that Dragon's body would be buried in the vast stretch of desert. But a few moments later, the giant snake returned to the surface while tilting his head up into the sky, as if he was feeling pain.

 Tatsui just stunned to see that, she kept watching the snake's head to find the whereabouts of the Dragon, which apparently was still hanging while holding the handle of a dagger which was firmly stuck on the forehead of the snake, his entire body covered with sand, and he also occasionally spat out sand from his mouth. Dragon seems very difficult to hold on to his grasp.

 Therefore, Tatsui immediately take action, she tried to attract the snake's attention by waving his hands while screaming for the giant snake, so that its existence could be immediately realized by the snake. And it was true, the eyes of the giant snake immediately fixed on Tatsui, then he began to move his head to turn, then followed by his whole body which began to move to approach Tatsui.

 After that, Tatsui, who realized that she had begun to be targeted by the snake to devour, immediately turned around and ran as fast as possible to get away from the pursuit of the giant snake, while occasionally looking back, to find out how Dragon was now.

 Dragon was back in the upper position and no longer hung, right above the forehead of the giant snake that was chasing after Tatsui, and he was able to stand steady now. Then Dragon immediately got an idea, he took a magic rope from his pocket, then wrapped the rope around the handle of the dagger also on the snake's scales that were slightly peeled off.

 Meanwhile, the snake's mouth was very close to Tatsui's body, soon his body would be devoured by him. Panicked and a little scared, Tatsui continued to run as fast as she could, even though it would be of no use, because when he looked back, she saw the jaw of the giant snake that had opened wide enough, which showed how dark and deep the throat was.

 Then suddenly, Dragon stomped on the dagger which was stuck in the forehead of the snake until the knife stabbed even deeper. That made the giant snake feel so painful that he finally stopped his intention to devour Tatsui. He raised his head up and then shook it to get rid of the man who was above his head.

 The human is very troublesome for the giant snake. Imagine if there is a small creature that alighted and stung our skin many times, it must be annoying. That's what is being felt by the giant snake at this time, he did not have a hand to dismiss the creature that was perched on his head. Despite the various efforts he has made, so that Dragon can be blown off his head, but Dragon still holds on tightly so that he cannot be dropped.

 When the giant snake's head had calmed down a bit, Dragon launched his strategy. He immediately threw himself down, with his hands tied to his magic rope, which had been connected to the dagger and scales on the snake's forehead. The rope continues to elongate, until the position of the Dragon is now under the snake's chin, then when the giant snake wags its head again, then dragon's body that is also hanging also start swinging very fast and strong. But Dragon still kept trying to hold on to the magic rope with all his strength so that his body could not be thrown easily.

 It turned out that the tug-of-war of the wandering Dragon's body, making the dagger and scales above the snake's head, gradually become increasingly peeling, and would soon be pulled out. That was caused by the intense blow from the giant snake, so that it could help Dragon to pull and remove scales that had been bound by the magic rope up there.

 Until finally, the dagger which initially stuck strongly, then completely pulled out, along with the snake's scales. The two objects were now completely uprooted, so Dragon's body immediately fell down.

 It made the snake experience extreme pain, so that the giant creature kept wagging his head while opening his mouth wide, while Dragon's body finally fell on a sand dune, not far from where the raging giant snake was.

But a few moments later, suddenly the body of the giant snake began to re-enter the ground, as if he were retreating backward, with his head also beginning to be buried again in the sand. then over time the head to the mouth of the snake finally completely collapsed into the sand, leaving no trace of anything other than the expanse of the desert.

 After that, Dragon immediately stood up and prepared two more daggers in his hand. He prepared to face another surprise attack from the snake, because it might be possible that the giant creature would reappear under his feet, therefore Dragon continued to pay close attention to the entire surroundings, he looked very alert, really very alert.

 Shortly after, from a distance, Dragon saw the giant snake come to the surface, but the distance of the giant snake was getting farther and farther away, it seemed that the snake had decided to leave Dragon there. then after that Dragon became a little calmer now, because the big creature that had wanted to eat him had now finally gone far. Dragon immediately dropped himself into the sand, and lay there for quite a long time, because he was already exhausted.

 A few moments later, as she ran breathlessly, Tatsui came up to Dragon and asked if he was okay, then Tatsui also asked why the giant snake had left them just like that, just because one of its scales had been pulled out? Then Dragon answered the question by telling Tatsui not to think too much, the important thing was that both of them survived the very big danger, then Tatsui only responded to the words of the Dragon with a nod, and she was also truly grateful for the danger that they both had to face it, is now end.

 It was already late in the afternoon, Tatsui and Dragon were seen walking together in the middle of the desert, with no water or food at all. They both hobbled because they felt thirsty and also exhausted, having previously survived the onslaught by the giant snake of Zuci Desert, now they have to face the next danger, which is walking all day in the middle of a very hot and wide desert, without any food or drinks.

 What they brought was only their equipment, besides that Dragon was also seen carrying scales that he had removed from the body of the giant snake. He tucked the scales in his belt. Dragon took the item as a souvenir he had gotten from the Zuci Desert guard.

 Then Melinda whispered to Dragon, "I still don't really believe it, the large creature that was once friendly, now easily attacks humans who are passing through the Zuci Desert. It is impossible?”

 "You saw it yourself, the snake tried to devour us. if I don't take action, then my journey will end in this place. " Said Dragon to Melinda.

 "Hmm ... A lot of things have changed in the past 25 years." Melinda said.

 Then Tatsui asked Dragon. "Who are you talking to?"

 Dragon was a little surprised, then he answered the question from Tatsui. "Eh, um, I'm having ... a mirage."

 "You joking?" Tatsui said with a smile. After that Tatsui looked back, then he stopped his steps and was silent for a moment. Then he started talking to Dragon again.

 "Looks like I'm also experiencing a mirage."

 "What?" Dragon asked in confusion.

 "No just looking at it, I can also hear the voice of the mirage ... The voice calling out to us both from a horse-drawn carriage." Tatsui said.

 It turned out that it was indeed the sound of screams from Nara and Beppu, who were riding a horse-drawn carriage heading towards Dragon and Tatsui, it was not a mirage at all like what Tatsui was thinking right now.

 After Nara and Beppu arrived near them, Dragon and Tatsui looked very happy because they had been found, as well as Nara and Beppu who were very happy because the two friends were still alive, even though they had fought against the giant snake of the Zuci Desert only two of them.
