Chapter forty : The Ghistory necklace

 The banquet, which Dragon attended at the Nexus Palace, take place wisely and joyful. Dragon and the King enjoyed every dish served to them while chatting lightly throughout the banquet.

 But the atmosphere started to change, when Dragon ask permission to go to the toilet but he never came back. Therefore, the King and all the residents of the Nexus Palace were shocked and worried at the loss of their guest of honor. Then their shock increased, when they saw two Soldiers who guard the door to the Royal treasury room storage, have been lying on the floor in a state of unconsciousness.

 Therefore, the King Velodrian, who initially still had a positive thoughts towards Dragon, now began to turn suspicious of Dragon, especially after General Eagle informed him of the possibility that Dragon had managed to infiltrate the Royal treasury room.

 Therefore, the King Velodrian began to order all the Soldiers in the Palace to scatter and look for Dragon's whereabouts, along with Riple and his dupes. They ran combing every corner of the Palace, looking for the guest of honor whose existence was now missing somewhere.

 Meanwhile, the King Velodrian, along with General Eagle, Gard, and four Soldiers, began to enter the Royal treasury room to check whether Dragon had indeed entered and stolen the objects in it or not?

 Arriving in the room, it seems that the valuable items belonging to the Nexus Kingdom are still stored properly there. It was a silver necklace, which had a pendulum in the shape of a crescent moon, with three green gems attached to the pendulum. The King Velodrian called it a "Ghistory" necklace, and that’s a valuable object inherited from his grandfather (the late King Velodros).

 A few moments later, a surprising thing happened in the room, when one of the soldiers who was with the camp, suddenly beat the other soldiers until they were unconscious. Then, when General Eagle and Gard were about to fight that mysterious soldiers, they were shocked again, because it turned out that the figure behind the mysterious soldier was Dragon in disguise.

 The thing that was done by Dragon made the General and Gard only gaping, especially the King. They seemed not to believe that it seemed Dragon had been near them all this time, but with his appearance disguised as a soldier, Dragon's figure could not be known.

 Dragon immediately asked a question to the King, right after he broke his disguise, “Why is there only a necklace in this room? Is this a trap for me? How many valuable objects are there in this palace? ” Dragon asked with a little annoyance, because the object that was his target (namely the Aporion Ball), was not in the room.

 The king, who was still in a state of stupefaction, had yet to answer the Dragon's question. Then Dragon immediately drew his sword while walking to fight against Gard and the General, who were in a position to protect the King. But what a shock to Dragon, when his body movements were suddenly restrained by a hard, transparent green object, which turned out to be a power of Gard.

After Dragon was in a bound state and couldn't do anything else, the General started to utter emotional question towards Dragon.

 “How dare you ask presumptuously to The King!! What does all this mean? " General Eagle said to Dragon.

 “Mister Dragon! I couldn't believe what had just happened, and what I was seeing right now. What is your real goal? " ask Gard.

 "First answer my question! What are you doing to my body ?! ” Dragon asked with anger, because his whole body was bound by a transparent green rope.

 "As the leader of the fortress guard, I am also a person with the ability as a protective Magician, so I can produce a shield and even a harness, which I can use to catch and stop enemy movements." Gard explained.

 Then General Eagle asked again, "Tell us, what exactly have you planned, so that you can be here with us?"

" Dragon replied explaining.

 "Backup plan ??" Said Gard and General Eagle simultaneously.

 "Yes, of course." Gard Replied.

 "In those weapons there already very powerful explosive magic, imagine if I activate the explosives right now, then your entire headquarters and most of the areas in the Capital of Nexus kingdom will explode and be destroyed instantly." Dragon said while putting on a wicked face, and of course his words were mere bluff, he said that to deceive Gard into breaking his bonds.

 "I never thought, you are the one who could do something like that. What about the fate of the innocent people who are out there? ” Asked Gard with both nervousness and fear, as well as the General. But it was different with the King, who looked normal without making any expression, because the King felt that it was just bluff.

 Then Dragon shouted. "If you don't want that to happen, then let me go now!" Tell Dragon to Gard.

 "How is this? General?" Asked Gard to General Eagle.

 "I do not believe you! ... But, if what you say is true, then you will definitely get the death punishment !! "

 "Is it true??" Asked Dragon.

 "Then, I will finish you here right now!" Said the General as he drew his sword.

 "I came here to steal the Aporion ball." Dragon replied, then immediately, Dragon felt pain in his shoulder, because the spell stone in his shoulder would react if Dragon told others about his mission, but the pain did not last long.

 “Aporion Ball? We don't have anything like that here. As you can see for yourself, the most valuable item this Palace has, is the Ghistory necklace which is behind me. ” Said the King as he turned around to reveal the Ghistory necklace displayed above the altar.

 But when the King Velodrian turned his head, something surprising happened. Because the Ghistory Necklace suddenly emitted a bright light that shot straight at Dragon’s body. So at that instant, the King's face turned pale, even the General and Gard also felt dumbfounded when they saw this happen, they both seemed unable to believe what their two pairs of eyes were seeing. The precious necklace that is stored safely in the room, is now shining a light against the person who has been caught committing theft in the Nexus Palace (Namely Dragon).

 Dragon was also as surprised as the three of them, moreover, he was the one who was being highlighted by the light from the necklace called Ghistory. So Dragon started asking. “W- what the hell is going on? Why did the necklace suddenly shine light on me? And why are all of your faces looking so shocked ?! ” Dragon asked all of them with nervous feelings mixed with panic.

 Then the King fell, because his knees kept shaking of the shock, so that he was now sitting on the floor, and the General who saw this immediately approached the King to help him stand up again, but the King did not want to. He prefers to remain sitting on the floor, then starting to speak.

 "It turns out that this day has arrived ... The day that Ghistory's necklace has found its next true owner." Said the King.

 This made everyone who was with him in the room even more confused.

 "Can Your Majesty explain in detail?" Asked Gard to the King.
