Heaven. That’s the only word that could perfectly describe her pure lips. She didn’t kiss him back, but damn. She’s perfect. Her small frame fits perfectly on his arms. He never wants to let go. He hugged her tightly in his arms as he deepened the kiss. She’s trembling because of her wet clothes, and he tried to warm her up with his body. One thing that bothers him, why she didn’t fight back? Is she giving up already? She’s making this too easy for him. By the time he pulled away, he saw glistening tears falling down on her cheek. What the hell? No woman ever cried after he gave them a kiss. He pulled her into his chest and slowly patted her head. “What’s wrong? You didn’t like it?...” he whispered slowly in her ear. She wiped her tears, and he swiftly grabbed her hands. “Hey, I’m sorry….” He told her again, feeling slightly guilty. “I want to go home….” She said, cutting him. Shit, what’ve you done this time, Keith? He truly had messed up this time. “Cassandra…!?” she ran under the rain, leaving her suit and her work there. ********** She falls behind the door of her apartment, feeling agitated. What the hell just happened? She couldn’t possibly just let that man steal her first kiss, right? They hardly know each other. She traced her lips, and she could still feel the tingle from the kiss. It was too late now. The way he kissed her… It’s so raw and intense, as if he wants to claim her. She’d never experience something like this before. It’s exciting and scary at the same time. It’s true what her mom had told her before. The moment you give yourself up to a man, you become vulnerable. You gave them the power to hurt you, and it’s damn scary. But why it felt so good and right at the same time? “Uuuughhh…” She groaned out loudly while messing her hair with both hands. At this very moment, she hoped that her mom is here. Or maybe she should just take a shower to clear her mind. Yes, a hot bubble bath would be nice. She soaked in the tub while her mind drifted back to that man. She’s kind of regrets it now. Why did she have to run away from him earlier? She threw herself on the bed and tried to get some sleep, but her mind is restless. All she’s doing is just tossed and turned in the bed. ************ The next morning, Keith waited for her in front of her office. He felt bad about the way she left yesterday. Maybe he went a little bit too far this time. She’s too pure and innocent. He should know better that he must take smaller steps with her. But she’s so tempting. He silently wonders how she could stay being single until now. Men must be lining up to date her.   He waited there for more than two hours, and it was ten am already, but she’s nowhere to be seen. Keith decided to went into her office. She could be inside. As he stepped in, Nicole instantly greeted him. “So good to see you again, Keith…?” she said with a suspicious look. “Umm…Is Cassandra here?” he asked. She raises one side of her lips, smirking at him. She just knew it. Whatever happened to Cassandra, it must’ve something to do with him. “She’s not coming here today…Just called and told me she’s not feeling well.” She finally said. Keith furrowed his eyebrows. “Thanks…” he replied curtly before he walked out. ************ The moment Cassandra opened her eyes the next morning, she felt feverish and dizzy. Oh, crap. She didn’t think she could go to work today. She’s too weak to even got up from the bed and grabbed her phone. Using the last bit of the energy she got left, she dialed Nicole’s number and told her that she won’t be coming to the office today. She felt sorry and even offered to come to take care of her. But she firmly refused her kind offer. Now that she’s lying weak on the bed, she just remembers that she doesn’t have any medicine in her place. She had to eat something to gain her strength back, so she grabbed a slice of bread from the kitchen, but she ended throwing them up again. As she turned on the water tap, she heard a knock on the door. She never had a guest at this time of the day because she’s always at the office. Walking slowly towards the door, she then peeked before she opened the door. It was Billy. He’s standing behind the door, with his signature red checkered shirt and thick glasses. She let out a deep sigh. She didn’t want to talk to him. Maybe she should just pretend that she’s not at home. Billy was quite persistent. He then called for her. “Cassandra, I know you’re in there…” he said. And her heart jumped in surprise. How could he know? She breathed out before she finally opened the door for him. “Hi, Billy… What do you want?” she said with a fake smile. His facial expression suddenly changes. “Are you sick, Cassandra? You look pale?” he asked. His one hand tried to reach her forehead, but she quickly took a step back. “I’m alright, just getting a cold from the rain yesterday. How did you know that I was here?” she couldn’t help but to ask. Her tone started to sound sarcastic without her realizing it. “You didn’t open your curtain today…I know you haven’t left.” He then said with a flat expression, as if it was a normal thing to do. Is he a stalker? That’s creepy. “Is there something that I could do for you? Have you taken your meds?” he asked, looking deeply concerned. “I’m fine, Billy. Thanks for your concern. But I can take care of myself.” She was about to close the door, but he stops it with his feet. Damn, he’s truly creepy. “Please, Cassandra… Just let me in,” he said in a pleading tone. “No, I don’t want you to get in…Just go!” now she couldn’t hide the fact that she was scared. It wasn’t that hard for Billy to barge in because she’s weak. Cassandra is dragging herself on the floor, keeping the distance between them. “You don’t have to be afraid. We’re neighbor.” He said. His eyes were now filled with lust. The caring neighbor was just an act. “No, don’t come closer!?...” she squealed as he grabbed her. “I’ve been watching you this whole time, Cassandra. Who is the man?” he then asked, forcing her to meet his eyes. “That’s NONE OF YOUR f*****g BUSINESS, Billy!?” she roared back. He pushed her until her back hit the sofa in her living room. “Watch your language, miss. A good girl never curses. Is your dad never told you manner before?” his lips curved a vicious smirk. How dare he talked about her dad. “Let me show you something my dad had taught me, Billy.” She then kicked his groin until he curled up in pain. Cassandra hurriedly ran out, but then she stumbled on a hard chest. She looked up and was shocked to see Keith. He looked confused. “Keith, please help me.” She said, clutching into his shirt. “Calm down, Cassandra. Tell me what happened?” he asked her back, cupping her face. “You’re right about Billy…” she said, pausing. “Billy? The man that I saw yesterday?” he asked her back. Before she could reply, the door flew open. His jaw tightened as he saw Billy walked out limping from Cassandra’s place. “Come here, you b***h!?” he said. Keith landed a punch on his jaw, and he staggered to the back. Blood is coming out from his nose, but Keith is not done with him. He knows from the first time he saw Billy, there’s something wrong about this guy. Keith pushed him to the wall and punched him again several times. Billy tried to fight, but Keith was stronger than him. After Keith pinned him down to the floor and punched him one more time in the nose, he fell unconscious.    He got up from Billy and turned around to Cassandra.  “Let’s get you out of here…” Keith said, pulling her with him. He won’t take no this time.
