MY REVENGEFUL MATE

Pearl's P. O. V.       "Pearl... stop... stop running now", I giggled and looked back at my elder sister, Violet, running behind me. I was screwed because she was now fuming in anger.       I was playing with my brother and sister in the backyard of our house when I sneaked out. I am only ten years old while my brother and sister were twins and six years elder than me. They both got their wolves last year and their wolves were amazing. They also loved me more than my human siblings.      Suddenly I stopped in my way when the air changed and I got a whim of some unknown scents. I moved back and at the same time, Violet took me in her embrace closing my mouth and hid us behind a bush.       "Who are they, Violet? " I whispered to Violet while trembling in fear when more than 50 big wolves passed in front of us towards the packhouse.       "I don't know, Pearl. I have informed dad and alpha already", she told me and I snuggled more into her chest for safety. Our father Daniel Spears was the beta of Crescent Moon Pack.         Our pack was a peaceful pack and as far as I remembered, all our neighbouring packs were friendly with us. Our Alpha James Anderson and our luna Millie Anderson were a lovely couple and they took care of the whole pack as their own pup. We all loved them. My heart was now thumping inside my chest and I was freaking with the mere thought of having an attack on our pack.               “They are gone… let’s go… be with me, Pearl… we need to reach home”, Violet ushered me and I nodded frantically. We both started running in our human form as our house was not far from the place we were right now. I heard roaring, yelling and screaming that startled me. Violet took me to a hidden place and looked at me with tears in her eyes. “Violet…. What is happening?” I asked her while crying aloud.               “Pearl… listen to me girl.. and listen to me carefully. You know we love you, right?” she looked at me with teary eyes for confirmation and I immediately nodded while gripping her hands tightly. “No matter what happens… don’t come out… did you listen to me… don’t come out… stay here… and when … when you get the chance… run… run far from here… don’t be caught by them… hide yourself if you feel threat… run… until you reach the royal pack… you get it?” she was now crying. I nodded but refused to let her go.       “No.. Violet.. please stay… I am scared”, I cried again and she immediately hugged me. “I love you, Pearl… I love you too… We all love you… keep this in your mind… and … save yourself for us.. now stay here until you get the chance to run”, she almost threw me in the corner of that small hideout and ran outside. “No.. Violet”, I screamed but she didn’t listen to me. As soon as she went out, she changed into her wolf and looked back at it one more time.       At that time, I knew that it was the last time, I was seeing my sister. Her wolf whimpered and then ran away leaving me behind crying helplessly.     As she instructed, I stayed there and watched everything that happened with my pack and my pack members. I saw the falling down of our warriors who were fighting with those unknown wolves who were killing everyone like a mad animal. They didn’t spare pups and the women. I put my hands on my mouth to muffle my cries.       My whole body froze when I saw my dad falling down on the ground during fighting with four large wolves. He was fighting bravely. I was proud of him. I saw Violet and my brother Victor fighting together. I wanted to run to them and help them but I couldn't. I knew if I went there, they would be killed soon as I would only be a liability to them. I watched everything helplessly.       More wolves emerged from everywhere killing everyone. I wanted to scream when I watched them killing my father and my mother. I wanted to scream when I watched them killing my brother and sister. They killed my whole family, my whole pack in front of my eyes. I ran out of tears by now and was sniffing silently.       After killing everyone, they all howled aloud in victory making me angry and I felt that something stirred inside. I wanted to kill them all at this very instant but I knew that I had to wait. I had to wait until I get strong enough to take my revenge. They all shifted in front of me and there were so many brutal-looking naked men in front of me. They all were laughing as if it was nothing. I watched them kicking the dead bodies of my pack members, my father, my mother, Violet and Victor.       To me, they were nothing but worst than animals. They were dancing on the dead bodies as if something had possessed them. Their actions made me feel nauseating. I wanted to puke my guts but I held back everything. After a long torturous victory dance, they all started retreating in wolf form.       I stayed there in that hideout until everything went quiet. Violet had instructed me to stay hidden and then run to the Royal Pack. I vowed to her that I will take revenge for her death. I will take revenge on every pack member of mine. I gritted my teeth in anger while shredding some more tears.           I came out of my hideout when I was assured that none of them was here now. I didn’t go near my family. I just looked at their now lifeless bodies from far and then I did what Violet asked me to do. I ran… I ran as fast as I could from there. I ran away from the place that was once my home. Now, there was nothing that was mine. I didn't look back and run.
